you can tell its an Si if the first 6 characters in your VIN number is 1HGEM1then i dont think its a type r. because its black.
but i do know that its an si because thats what it says on the title and the carfax.

This car will not pass emissions, this motor was never used in this car. You have to find a little shop who does inspections and try to get a lick n stick, in other words they inspect everything else but you pass enissions lol.thanks. that really helps. really appreciate it.
but i have another problem. i took the car to get its emission done, but the OBD wouldnt link to the car's ECU. is it because of the swapped engine or maybe it downgraded to OBD 1? what do i need to do to get the emission/smog test passed?

Yepp thats the way to do it haha lol. And yes he gave you soime good stuff to do to her lolya, find a shop, throw them a little extra cash, and you should be good on emissions, sweet ride too, definately replace the tails, debadge it, I think the red emblem should go as well, and replaced with a factory one, just my opinion on that though, and definately a front lip, you can get one off ebay for cheap, I have the mugen style on mine, I like it better than the stock one, just try to find a shipper that ships it in the right box and not in a box that it must be bent to fit into...
nottt quite. JDM will read B18C whether its a GSR or Type R. Look for the stamp on the head. It'll say "P72" if its a GSR. You should also be able to tell the difference between intake manifolds and valve covers too.. come on guys.Pop the hood and look at the block right behind the radiator is where you want to look the motor code will be there. b18c1 is JDM gsr, b18c3 is USDM gsr, b18c5 is type r USDM

I didnt know you had to check the head but i dont follow valve covers anymore, too many guys where i live buy the type r ones so i go by motor codes i check both, but all the usdm motors ive checked have the complete motor code such as my b16a2. so thanks for telling me check the headnottt quite.
