Here's acouple things about your car.

First its not EPB, its really close but a completely different shade. Its darker, the light in the garage tell us the whole story. Second, no VIN stickers on the quarterpanels; Usually when a car is completely repainted due to some kind of accident or whatever, they will paint over that it will completely leave it alone, in your pictures I don't see any VIN stickers. Your side skirts are also painted to match the color of the car. My advice, let me say I haven't read this thread completely, Carfax your VIN number and find out if the car has been in a major accident, unfortunately without VIN stickers and a completely different engine could result it reporting a major accident. If the VIN shows no reports, make sure all your vins correctly represent the SAME VIN throughout the car, there are several points throughout the car that have your VIN number engraved. If you find something, call the police and sue the living asshat out of the person who sold you this car.

Whoaaa turbo.. I did CARFAX before i bought it.. Its a clear title, no accidents.. its a real SI, just the wrong engine... Thanks for the help though. Sadly.. I bought this car in October.. and just last night realized all this.. god, im a dumbass.

That is where you missed it....she did the car fax thing. It is indeed a Si with a D16.

If thats the case, the guy blew the b16 swapped in an EX motor and thats all she wrote. Sue, I would, actually I would break his f**king legs and then take my money, but thats just me.

God luck, with that, alot of virgin Si's in Miami, Florida if you around here. They go for about 7-8k here.

I beat he did not blow the motor but sold it and then swapped a d16 in and sold it for the price of one with a b16 in it...a 2k profit...not bad. asswholes....

You would not try to make a fake SI and say it is one and paint it and waste all that money. changing the vin and all that also, and the reason is that on the firewall there is a vin that you can't hide or change. Its stamp into the car if you can paint over it but your nto going to unstamp the letters

aint that a b***h...someone was waiting for a sucker and got you hook line and sinker....a usdm b16a2 complete swap will run you around $2500 plus labor for install..l would hit the seller up and ask them what happened to the b16 and tell them you want $2500 for a motor or a refund...if not sue their ass

I think her best bet would to go to carfax since its "BUY BACK GUARANTEED***" If not I dont think shes going to get anything from the guy. Im pretty sure it was SOLD AS IS

no, its actaully stands for "variable valve timing and lift electronic control" which would be VTEC.

on topic: I am very sorry about your car, you should definetly take some legal action on the person you bought it from. sound like you really got jipped

its valve timing and electronic controll for short. ive done plenty of reading up on it.

I found the car on autotrader.com.. it was in Longview, WA... next day I bought it. figured since it had a clear title all systems were go.. So, its my fault.. I didn't look at the engine cause I didn't know what to look for.
