I'm also starting up a mini project to keep me occupied, I removed my rear seats and I plan on re spraying my entire trunk area to make it look as clean like the outside, I don't intend on re installing them after. I got a hook up from this really cool old guy that worked at o'rielly's auto parts. I bought oem matche Roma red paint in spray cans and clear, and intend to thoroughly prep the rear before spraying. Its going to be a slow process but will keep me occupied while I'm saving up cash. I can't wait!

My inspiration for the new project! Sean klinglehoefer's Midori green hatch from back in the day

Thans ReedMan! Me and my buddy that drives the s2k worked on it today, between drinking a few beers and goofing off we got 3 patches of sound deadening up, 2 more to go. Then I have to wash EVERAY thing down before I start prepping the surface. We took my rear interior quarter trims out, and it was filthy! I know it will look great all said and done!

Here's a couple pics I found online of the local car club I'm friends with, "Wilkesboro Crew". These are from the last import Aliance event, and I found them online.

This is my buddy's s2k on custom powder coated blue bbs a wheels

This is a pic of their tent

Who manufactures Roma Red? Duplicolor doesn't. I want to paint my mirrors and rails. =)
I went to O'Riely's auto parts and they scanned my paint color on my hood with a paint match device that calculated a match formula to mix it. Then I came by the next day before work and picked it up. Its kind of expensive though, I got three cans of clear and three of color for 78$, but he cut me a deal for some reason he was a really cool old dude lol

Yah I didn't want to wait on shipping lol.

Well, I've finally removed all my sound deadening, and have began he process of cleaning every square inch of the gutted rear interior. I filled a spray bottle with dawn degreasing ditergent, and got a couple of old tooth brushes, a coulle rolls of shop towles, and began meticulously scrubbing and wiping down the interior. The tooth brushes help not to rush and get into the little tight spaces where dirt has accumulated.

Here is a pic of the rear before I started anything after I removed the seats.

Here is the pic today of the sound deadening removed, along with the rear side trim panels

I'll have another pic up hopefully 2mrw when I finish cleaning it with soap and water, and remove the tar left from the sound deadening.

Then it i will start scuffing and prepping the surface for paint! :rolf: I can't wait!

Looking great man! I've wanted to do that for the longest time, but just haven't bitten the bullet yet. Last time I took out my rear seats, the inside was disgustingly dirty. Maybe when I see the final result of yours, I'll convince myself to do it.

a wire wheel or something along those lines would really help with the tar and prepping for paint
