well, i think PS3 > 360 when it comes to online s**t, simply because you have to pay for a crapload of stuff with XBL... and... you don't get to do a lot of stuff unless you pay for it.
i've spent more on upgrades for LBP in the past few months than i did on my yearly XBL subscription... and XBL actually has much more free stuff than playstation online, not to mention MANY more features overall... and XBL is leaps and bounds more stable and streamlined.
sony has tried to play catchup with its "online store", but its selection is still lacking compared to the xbl marketplace.
what sony does have is usually more expensive, example, theme pack on the PSN store was $5.99, the same theme pack on XBL was $.99
of all the features to mention, xbl is actually light years ahead of sony for its online features
the ONLY thing going for sony is its free subscriptions, and based on how inferior the service is, i'd say they need to keep it free to have any competitiveness at all.
also, my ps3 doesnt have wireless... and thanks to the douchebags at sony, nobody can make a wireless adapter for the ps3
i will eventually spend allot of money and rig something up, but the only reason i have to is because sony would rather make its customers buy a new ps3, than allow developers to make ps3 wireless adapter. companies have tried, but sony uses their incessant and manditory updates to make them incompatible.
if i could buy something like the wireless adapter for the 360 i would do it in a heartbeat... but i cant, because sony directly blocks development, because they're assholes
with the xbox you have to spend upwards of $100 to add wireless, whereas the sony ps3 has turned into an absolete throw-away.
i literally need to buy an entirely new system to have an acceptable wireless connection
and ps's "home" is awful
