GG Anthony. Who doesn't change their timing belt when they do a swap??? s**t even n00bs know better. Money was tight??? Parts are around $100 and you got next to free labor. I have no pity on stupidity. f**king retard.
Hows the amish NOS wiring holding up???
Ahh you'll end up keeping it. I spent over a year and a lot of money (30% of my yearly income) rebuilding a motor for my car to only have it run for 60 miles (about 2 weeks) and then it blew up. Piston let go of the rod. When i first discovered the problem i said screw it, I'm done.i never changed it.. only had the motor for a couple years..
i guess what i plan to do is just pull it apart and take a look at it.. and go from there.. take it in stride you know.. if the valves are all f**ked up replacing them and the timing belt isnt exactly the end of the world you know.. IF i keep the car.. i also plan to use the time to really work on it and clean up those lose ends..
at this point im pretty sure im keeping it.. with the mentality of getting it running as a back up car.. im already looking at domestic rollers.. i want to finally put together a car thats actually fast...Ahh you'll end up keeping it. Gave it about a week to just sit and mellowed out. Realized once you're this far in, you can't really just get out of it.
Hope you keep it man, it's the only VSM coupe i've ever liked.
oh i know.. over the next couple weeks (as time permits) im going to swap the timing belt out.. will do water pump also while im there..and while i will keep the car.. its really time to start working on another project.. ive really wanted a domestic for a while.. and now is the time to do it..You are talking engine doom and gloom without really knowing whether there is any engine damage. The fact is that this is not always the outcome of a broken timing belt.
wow what a d**k! Way to kick a guy when he's down, don't you THINK he's already regretting that? Member of the month right there!HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAH BWwAHAHHAHA hahwhwahwhehahwhahhwhahhawhhhwa x(OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!!one!!11!!)
