id much rather have something that goes around a track fast. 1/4 mile...hah. you wanna go fast on the quarter, buy something with torque. turning suspension + speed > 1/4 speed

im not talking about something drastic y0. i just want a faster than normal car. + civics look better than most cars in the same category. and whats with everyone saying stuff like "if you want a fast car then you shouldnt have gotten a civic." are we forgetting about kenny tran's 8.59 second civic? thats pretty god damn fast for a 4 banger. he probably spent a small fortune on it but nevertheless it is a 8.59 sec civic.

oh, dont get me wrong, im not saying...oh wait...i am saying a civic is slow, im just someone not in denial. yes, there are a decent set of really fast civics, but truth be told, its a slow car. its hondas economical vehicle...accept it

it's funny how this is a civic forum yet a lot of people keep puttin down the civics. if you gonna talk negative about civics, why even bother talkin about them. we all know they are slow and regardless of how much $$ you spend on it there's always gonna be another car out there faster, but we are all here cuz we either drive civics or like civics, so y hate on them? only my 0.02 cents. no beef with no one or anything like that.

no no dude i dont think you understand what im saying. i know a civic is slow but civics are still one of the fastest economic cars with a huge aftermarket to work with. and on top of that if you really wanted to get down and dirty and spend tons of money they can be one of the fastest cars overall. thats what i was saying.

v6 eclipses are pretty fast, but then again, not as economical
integras (and rsx's) are faster
srt-4 arent that expensive and are faster
wv's are faster

okay how much more expensive is a v6 eclipse or an srt-4 than a regular civic ex brand new. now say i bought that ex, and used the money i saved from not buying a the eclipse or srt-4 and spent it on motor upgrades. i would then be faster than all of those cars that you mentioned and still fairly economical wouldnt i? do you see my point? or am i just talking out of my ass.

an ex is about a grand less than an srt4. you are saying that you can get an ex down into low 14's high 13's for a grand???? i gotta see that.
