Are you calling my build good? :P haha
Simple and clean is what I like
I need to get looking into those downstar bolts. not feeling these rusty corroded ones
They're addictive lol just because they make the bolts you dont change look retarded lol. If I didnt have missing bolts initially, I probably wouldnt have gotten any myself. I think they are a nicer choice than oem replacements.

Downstar ekk2 bolts with beauty washers in. Threw most of them in place just because. The instructions for the bolts were better than the HAsport instructions lol.

I like how even the nuts have nice washers

And a little care package from Ktuned

Currently trying to polish up the shifter

polishing is my tool for patience. I really want to throw this in, but I don't want to skip over something that I know ill be too lazy to go back and change later. I just need to stay occupied lol

Yeah that makes sense. Do it once, do it right.

Ktuned billet shifter grommet and billet shifter box bushings

Some bits of the rsx shifter removed for hand polishing. I tried to switch to some Nevr-dull since it's less messy, but it didn't give off the shine that I liked. I ended up going back to my Blue Magic polish and just dealt with the mess.

The shifter and the ktuned shifter base are two different finishes...the shifter is raw so it polishes up nice without needing to wet sand. Here's a comparison of the two

Some angles don't show just how reflective it is and since my parts room doesn't have anything on the walls to reflect color back, I took a photo of myself in the shifters reflection

Still could be polished up further, but im not worried about removing every little blemish. This isn't a show car for me, I just polish things out of boredom and broke-ism lol.

If I had any negative criticism about the shifter, it would be the effort needed to make adjustments. Of course, once you have it set to your liking it'll be good to go, but I could see it being tedious for people who like to change things up often.

another shot for comparisons sake, factory polished lips on Work CR01 and my compound polish job on the shifter match pretty well

That's all for now until after my son's first birthday!!!

Mmm... Shiny!

Tuned in for Instagram pics of baby Nova's first birthday! :D

Quick random question I had come into my head.

You do a ton of research in everything that you do. Countless hours of preparation, and you've done more than your fair share of swaps. Do you expect the swap to go without a hitch thanks to your preparation or do you plan to deal with at least a few minor bugs?

Just wondering. sorry for the weird, random question. I hope it goes easy!

I do plan for it to go really easily. The only real concern I have is starting up with a smooth idle because I chose to delete the IACV on the throttle body. Ive read about how to go about dealing with it and have examples of it working problem free, but I kind of expect a hiccup there. Everything else I chose to use is so simple and plug and play and I throw as much of it together outside of the bay just to double check, so I think I'll be fine.

I request a pic of the part room before all the parts get installed.
Ill have to put more things back in there lol. I mock up so many parts to keep me focused and motivated when I come home through the garage. I don't have much in the room at the moment, wheels, wiring harness, mount brackets, radiator and fans, radiator hoses, CAI, axles, and tucked fuel setup.

Lol seems like a bit once I typed it out haha.

Hybrid Racing 3" CAI
do to still plan to use the wheels?
Yup. I just had to change up the specs on the fronts to clear my brakes. These are currently my most expensive wheels, so they'll sit until I show the car off. I'm trying to get money up for another bbk friendly wheel to keep on the car.

The rears are +22 (8"wide wheel) the fronts are lower offset due to the Tdisk faces that clear the brakes.
