Well, update time. Nothing immensely new, but I did get around to doing plenty of small odds and ends that bothered me.
I painted my red rear anti-roll bar to black to match better

Also, I painted my Fit lip a more Honda black to match the car color better. I also fixed the fitment of the lip so that it doesn't look like dooky.
Before: Equal gaps on both sides of the lip. And it was a flatish black color before
Primed and wet-sanded:
Painted and refitted: No more gap!
And finally, I put bolts and screws anywhere I had zipties holding up my bumpers. It's the little things that count.
That's all. Axle still isn't in, but by god it will soon. Lastly, a few more pics after my escapades.

I also got a Neo-chrome shift extender off "old skool" on NWP for only $25. Looks dope in my opinion. installation pics coming soon.

get a handle and a tap with the thread pitch of the shifter and try to tap it more. Maybe the threads inside just stop. OR drill press it deeper if it doesn't and tap the extra bit you drilled 
I had to re-tap a beer handle to the thread pitch of my shifter to use it as a knob lol
