IMO i would use everything but bov and turbo.....

bov because i dont want a knock off one....they probably work as good....but dont sound as good as the name brand ones....

turbo because thats the main part....ive seen one broken and it was glued together....i would rather just go buy a garrett T3 for like 100......

the turbo didnt come with a dump, so it was pointing right at the HID wiring

how is it the kit manufacturers fault that you guys ran open WG?

lol, you should know that the exhaust temps coming out of there are nearly 1400*

friend had an xsautocrap turbo that blew oil seals right away, so he sent it off to get rebuilt with garrett internals, or whatever...

Also, his xsturdblower manifold cracked not once, not twice, but 3 times... (his downpipe also cracked once)..
I will give the xs the benefit of the doubt, in that he wasn't running any braces (mani / turbo / dp had none to offer anyways).. and he / they also failed to install a flex-pipe in line with the exhaust.

also, about the wastegate...
I would have no worries running any wastegate, being that most tune programs (crome, uber, that-other-fancy-crap...) offer a boost limiter, much like your existing rev-limitier, in where you set a max boost point (i.e 10lbs) and car cannot boost over that point.
Ive hit my boost limiter a few times, for stupid things ive done... none of which involved a faulty wg. I would NOT put my faith in ANY wastegate regardless of the manufacturer.

another thing... I have yet to see an ebay "turbo kit" come with ANY worthwhile engine management.
Most offer crap-ass FMU's which are very primitive, and basically just dump butt-loads of fuel.. (IF your pump / injectors can handle it)... and None of the "kits" offer anything to control spark/timing... which honestly, scares the poop out of me.

Also, if your looking for an easy way out, or cheep power... BUILD IT YOURSELF. These stupid kits are NOT complete, and will bring nothing but headache, and simulated emotional molestation.

If you do it yourself... You will learn SOO.. Much more, spend less $$, and come out with a much better setup.
check out www.homemadeturbo.com - Spend a few months just reading, and asking questions. You'll be glad you did. :D I built my entire hmt setup for under $700
