Yea, my 98 EX has ABS, and it worked like a charm when I went careening into the back of a for windstar and snapped every piece of my front end, cracked my radiator, busted my power steering container wide open! It was great, I was goin 60 mph and my airbags didn't even deploy, isn't that somethin? 
Also, as it turns out, having 17's with 205/35/17ZR Toyo tires doesn't make a dang bit of difference when ur in the snow! It's all good though, I should have my baby back by the end of this month and then it's back to square one, new motor, new tranny, new suspension, new body kit, new rims, new everything basically. I'm new to the board and I'll keep you all posted on when I get my baby back and when I start the MAJOR overhaul!

I trully believe it is there for people who don't know how to brake right. I don't want it on my car, but I prefer everyone else have it for my safety. lol Its cool that they are teaching details like that.
