having hood pins is not always good

look what happen the day after i put in some new hood pins because my latch broke...so sad

yea it does suck..i was driving on the freeway then all of a sudden my hood just flopped open..when i got home one of the pics broke and i guess the other one didn't hold good..but now im spending close to $2000 to fix it to make it look better than it was...stupid hood pins

The same thing would've happened w/o hood pins. I guess they were poorly installed. Sorry to hear about that. That type of fix is quite pricy.

i just got on off the ramp and hit about 70mph then it opened while i was in the fast lane and just when i got to the fast lane.thats when it happened..i pulled over to close the hood so i could pull over to the right side of the freeway because the left side had no room for car..so i took off again and it happened again..so i had to go out again and look hella stupid and close my hood and then i finallie got to shoulder on the right and took my hood off with my bare hands..it was the hardest thing i've ever done cuz i didnt have any of my tools with me..so i just threw my hood on the side and picked it up later with our suburban..yea at least it will look much better

dude.....your suppose to use hood pins with your latch....and it was your fault for driving with a broken latch with a carbon fiber hood.....!

WTF, damn...... that realy sucks!
When such thing would happen here in Holland, the car would be wrecked! It would not pass the yearly check anymore because the roof is damaged too and is part of the safety construction.
You're lucky you can repair the damage. But it sure is a lot of money.
