i think its in the process of being illegalized....but a cop can still pull u over now and fine you for having them,......but if they do decide to bann the aftermarket HIDs... than ppl might get smart and start making headlamps with built in HIDs for civics and other imports, but its gonna be hella expensive

HID aftermarket kits are illegal in lot of European countries for sure (not in such places like Russia etc).
Yeah i am running HID and it is illegal, and what? i duuu not give a fck (efsiikei)!

HID are legal in BMW, Porshces, Lexus e.t.c. coz the headlamps of that cars are equiped with special leveling system, its sense is not to blind other drivers.

So i have HID and i blind other drivers,a n d w h a t???

PIAAs are the ONLY choice if you are getting the bulbs only. They last forever, and don't burn out like the cheap ones do in a few months. Below is a pic I took with PIAA Super Plasma bulbs fitted on my folks Mazda MPV, they look exactly like real HIDs.

Personally, I prefer going all the way, I have the Type-R headlamps with real HIDs (8000k H4 with both Hi/Low beam) fitted, they look sick at night~!

You think 8000k ( kelvins) are the best choice?

Yes they are brighter, but the beam which lays on the road is not as good as it is with lower temperature. The best temperature is aprox 5600 kelvins (my HID has 7000k, coz could not get the 6000 version ).

I totally agree with ya...8000k is not the best choice, when it comes to lighting up the night, that's why I quoted "Personally...I prefer".

But you were right, I agree with ya 100%, 5600k - 6000k HIDs are the best when it comes to lighting up the dark, color temperature that range are the closest to being a pure white light, that's why car manufacturers fit their HIDs within that range.

But man, 8000k HIDs are just hella dope at night
