i've heard 9000rpm is the peak power for the b16a's...after that, the power drops...

I've had mine dyno'ed and the power just keeps rising, no decrease in the power curve upto 8300rpm...:D

I need my Hondata ECU now.........!!!

not stock....

in order for the powerband to keep on climbing past 8k with the b16 you going to have to swap out the Cams - IM - pistons to make all that pweor up there

Hmm, not too sure, i'm just keeping with skunk2 as most of my other engine mods are the same brand, i know one thing for sure, the Venom ones look nicer...lol.
Ah, almost forgot, also getting a bored out throttle body, the spoon sports one is looking my fave at the mo'

Hopefully, all these mods will take me over 210bhp N/A...

i hope so... i would kill to have majority of spoon internals... when you get your intake manifold... compare it to your stoke one, you might be able to bore it out a little bit more too... you can take your stock one off and bore it for right now... someone on the forum said they did that, and gained some sick horsepower...

My power curve starts to drop off around the 5000rpm range. I most definately need a good port/polish job, a better intake, and a better cam.

Why would you want to spin the car to 11,000 rpm? You are just asking for trouble. How long do you think race motors last? A season a best? why do you think that is?

To get into the 13-15,000 range you will probably need pneumatic valves, typical springs just won't work anymore. Also, to get the head to flow that well, you would have NO power on the bottom end. You would have to rev the car to 5k rpm just to get moving.

The buildup would be extremely costly as well. Billet I-beam rods, billet crank, oiling issues. Too much work, $$$, without the benefits.

You're kidding right? You most definately need to be precise. You can't just go in there and start cutting s**t up.

That's what i was thinking!! lol.

Wondering why they always advertise as "precision cut"...lol.
But if i do get the spoon one, i'll give the stock one a trim down with my dremel....see if i can make a business out of it.

i dont mean that... of course you have to be precise when working with a motor... but, im talking fine tuning... thats why i said you cant go overbored with it... but... make the port as even as possible the whole way around... anyway... its possible. have fun, be careful... consult a professional about it first
