How often do you get laughed at cause you drive a Civic?

i told them from the beginning that it was slow and wasnt too impressive. but the one guy wanted to ride with me to get food. then he told everyone how the ride was...

My friend with a 1.8t Jetta is always getting on me about driving a civic .

But the last 3 times we raced I blew his doors off every time

o i never payed attention to the sound.

yea you can usually hear what a car has under the hood if you listen carefully.. im guessing this guy has an upgraded s/c at least 10lbs daily driving.. he would always try to take off on me, but theres usually traffic soo theres no point ha!

by GT i meant mustang GT...same goes for cobra and roush...usually they dont even look at me and just leave afterwards..
i can recall only 1 new GT that gave me the thumbs up after a highway pull i had a GTO tell me my all motor must be some motor lol and a viper got me 5 tickets

now im not saying that i would BEAT all of those i mentioned but i woudl give them a run that they wouldn't laugh at

I don't really get that much crap from other people cause I drive a Civic, but it pisses me off sometimes when you pull up next to someone at a stoplight and you don't rev your engine or do s**t and the guy next to you starts laughing his ass off for no reason.

i've never agreed with the idea of racing just because someone is taunting you, but do laugh when something goes wrong, just happened last week, me on my piece of s**t 98 dx (4 now) stopped at a traffic light, a tc scion 5 speed pulls up 2 my side and starts laughing and with reason, my car has 3 shades of black plus it looks in pretty bad shape except 4 the CF hood, so he's laughin and i ignore him, oh forgot to tell u dont have radio so i use my ipod with ear phones for the moment, so he starts revin his engine and i still ignore him, he tries to get a good start and the car stalls on him, so i pass him (f**king amateur), then he speeds up and catches up and passes me going at least 65 on a 40 speed zone ( you can figure out what happened, cops, ticket you get the idea), so the spansih sayin "quien rie de ultimo rie mejor" (who laugh last laugh better) is true on most of the times!!!

Almost never. Most of my friends drive like really really junky cars or they are like 20 and still don't drive. As far as everyone else, people around here seem to think it's a nice looking car and don't really look at me as a "four banger" or a "rice burner". I guess Honda's are getting a better rep since the price of fuel has gone up.

get stared down all the time, or flipped off by the kids who drive tans-ams and burn a tank of gas everytime they rev up at me
