well, i havnt seen these lights in action in person, but they should be pretty decent at lighting up the road at night seeing as how they are supposed to be mocking the 2000+ bimmer headlights with dual angel eyes, inner halogens and outter projectors. i guess it all depends on the bulbs inside the projector as the bimmer ones use Bi-xenon's, the real expensive hid projectors. If you wanted, you would buy the OEM Bi-xenons off a 2003+ mercedes and custom fit them into your angel eyes and have real bimmer heads. Was thinking about it before, too much money -=D

well, my current halos have h3 projector bulbs, they suck. the 1piece on the blue hatch i posted also has the h3. i hear some projectors do come with h1 for projectors, and they should be hella bright compared to the h3, but i only seen this setup on 6th gen projectors, not 5th gen. but about the bi-xenon retro fit, there is a post with pics from a guy who did it on CHB. he has them in his stock housings and they look mad pimp.

my halos came with h1 bulbs for both the high beam and the low beam. i put some cheap xenon bulbs in there i got off ebay and its ok. not as bright as i want but too poor to buy real HIDs.

what's the legality of projectors? A couple years back, I heard they were illegal - but if they've got DOT stamps on the, they should be fine/legal, right?

tyc makes 1 piece projectors that are dot approved... i have the old school angle eyes made by denji and those have the dot number on the bottom of the front lens...if cops f**k with you tell them that those are far superior to the standard dual filaments in the civic and you needed those for more light, and what would they rather have, you driving off the road because you couldnt see or having head lights that make the cops have penis envy because suddenly their strobes dont seem so cool anymore

As much as I hate to say it I got them off E-bay. Let me know before anyone goes to get them cuz there is a list of things you need to know and do before you can get them to work properly.

projectors

Just to inform all of you. The lamps posted are completely illegal in regards to FMVSS-108 regulations. The SAE/DOT stamp has no meaning as it is self govern by the manufactures.

1 reason the lamp is illegal visually is:
1) No side amber reflector

As for as photometrics we have not tested that lamp, and can not confirm of the beam pattern being able to meet SAE/DOT specifications.

Sincerely,
TYC

Yeah, the headlights are illegal, so is my exhaust, my rear taillights turn signals, my car height, im sure my emissions are pretty screwed... oh and the tints, and my driving... so i guess at this point is safe to say Oh Well =)

*In connecticut my headlights are legal, no amber is required any more so it differs from state to state*
