i fail to see the point of this mod....

i should sell my climate control unit in my car to the guys on the IS300 forum...it reads in celcious instead of farenheight. lol
That's not comparable. We don't have another clock in that place. We have a cheap plastic hole. A cubby.

I don't like the cubby. It collects dust and is completely non-functional (to me). I was first turned onto the clock because my CD player (now stolen though), I could not read the time off of in the day time.

In my previous car, a '97 coupe, I used the cubby occassionally for my cell phone. When I was in my crash the cell phone rocketed out of the cubby, landed in the passenger seat or the back seat (I can't remember which now) and the battery landed on the crushed front passenger floor. Even when you slam on the brakes a cell phone will fall out of the cubby.

i'd love to have one if it wasnt for the fact my oem beside-radio-pocket will hold a pack of smokes perfectly...

you don't have to be a d**k about it d00d.

We don't have clocks from the factory in the US as Amy pointed out. It's not a "pointless/useless" mod...especially for me, since I don't even have a cd player to show the time.

Calling it pointless makes you look ignorant without knowing the facts.

It's not like we're swapping out identical parts except for (for example) the color being different. And even if we are.... if I swap out my blue gauge cluster for an amber one (to match my otherwise all amber interior), who is anyone to tell me that was pointless? I could argue that I see anyone's mod(s) as pointless.

Btw, Jezek, why did you paint your car and do a front end conversion? What a pointless waste of money. ;)

Point being... it's all about personal preference. Why would someone sell a car that runs fine just to get an Altezza? How pointless. Why would someone buy another car when they already have one?

i guess it makes sense to tell the time. it seems like a hassle tho and its $$$
a watch might be a cheaper solution???

Why buy aftermarket rims if the stock ones move the car :what:

Wouldn't it be cheaper to keep the oem ones :?:

sure it would be cheaper to keep the OEM wheels, but at least with wheels its a performance upgrade and a visual one at the same time.

an amber clock just tells the time. the same as a watch does, and a white backlit clock

i dont know ur car/ur money!

if u can hold if till may, i can get a s**t load of these clocks for free of junked civics in the junkyard.
just pay for shipping (maybe 10 bucks?) and they are yours.
its almost too easy LOL

I don't like watches. I lose them. Anyway, a watch would cost more than my clock unless the watch is held on by velcro. ;)

Edit: Sorry oc, didn't see your post yet.
