the ONLY way i would do it is to take it apart first and paint the housing seperately... you have to be REALLY carefull when you take it apart.. the lense in the front is held in by like snap;s. and if you are not carefull and delicate with teating it down you will probably break them ( i almost did.. lol)
yea, im definately taking it apart. my friend who i got it from said he's already had it all dissassembled so he knows how to do it i guess

i just realized that you don't have any wipers, lol. do you have a second car to drive around when its raining? or do you just use a lot of Rain-X? lol.

really clean car though man. can't wait for new pictures, even if it does look the same. always fun to see new shots in different locations.

finished the C/F din plate that i made for the spot where the radio goes (to replace the old one that was just black plexi)
.. took WAY long.. lots of measuring lots of cutting not in the car yet.. here is the first pic of th egauges since they came back from autometer.. they are sitting in the din plate.. took a while but i think it came out good..

no wipers a little over three years now... and no problems to speak of.. i just find the lines of the car MUCH nicer without the wipers there.. this IS my daily drive.. :D

HO....LY.....s**t. That looks unbelieveable.

WOW. Seriously bad ass. If thoe lit up amber I would copy you so bad...lol.

Now, I gotta ask, I was honestly thinking of doing the same thing where my block off plate is. Obviuosly the oem b/o plate is too thick to do this kind of work so I figured I would use c/f, like you did. Now, where did you get the c/f? What size gauges did you use to fit 3 there? Did you use the regular size that you would use for like gauge pods, etc? Or are they smaller? And can those gauges be purchsed just the way they look or would I have to send mine out like what you did?

Thanks a lot in advance =) Looks SICK.

pyrometer is an EGT (exhaust gas temperature) tells if teh car is running rich or lean based on burn temperature... MUCH more usefull than an A/F gauge...

and no you cant buy these gauges like you see them.. that series does not come in black... you have to get them done by autometer.. but just to start (so you know) those three gauges WITH the work autometer did TOTAL includign the gauges (not all 6 just these 3) you are looking at around $525 - $600 just for the guages.. the egt and fuel preasure are both electronic with sending units... volts is cheaper obviously.. ;)

the carbon fiber plate is from a friend of mine who reps apex.... you have to be carefull because MOST of them out therer are thin and shitty..

PM me for specific details on how to make the plate.. it took 6 hours...
