just take your time.. i dont have a ton of money.. but this project has been going on for around 4 years.. lol slow long process.. there were times when i could have gotten a couple cheaper mods.. but instead i would save the cash and get the more expensive version...bmoua said:nice bro....wish i had the money to do that much mods to my car...haha...

br0nx finest said:How did you keep your shift boot up against the shift knob?
I have a skunk2 ss and weighted knob, but the only thing I'm thinking is ziptie from the inside.
i did exactly what you did but i used rubber grommets to eliminate the noice caused by the vibrating metalmint said:Here's what i did for that
1. Take Gear Knob off
2. Find a metal washer that will fit onto the gear stick
3. Lift the Gator (eh u call it.. boot?) up and put the washer onto the metal gear stick
4. The Gator/boot should now sit ontop of the washer,
5. Screw the Gear knob back on.
Worked a treat for my VTi Gator and Spoon gear knob

Nice idea but i dont seem to get any since its so tight. Real nice snug fitoc_civic said:i did exactly what you did but i used rubber grommets to eliminate the noice caused by the vibrating metal
toss the lock nut.. use a TINY bit of loctite this will allow the knob to sit a bit lower as well.. and below the boot.. put the grommets..br0nx finest said:Sorry for the thread jack but I can't use a washer... since this shift knob utilizes a lock nut to line up accordingly.
thanks!FrancesTheMute said:Very very nice. I like it alot.
i got some washers on mine but they rattled thats why i went to grommets.. might have something to do with different car setups as mine transfers a decent amount of road vibration into the cabin..mint said:Nice idea but i dont seem to get any since its so tight. Real nice snug fit
