hey bro thats a hot civic! nice to see some one stayed with d series, they can be potent! keep up the work bro
thanks.. maybe a swap one day just too tied up with other s**t (like trying to buy a home) right now..auto-civic said:hey bro thats a hot civic! nice to see some one stayed with d series, they can be potent! keep up the work bro

if you mean the autometer gauges yes.. thats where it plugs in.. at the top in the backHondaSpeedaX said:so the LED is at the top of the gauge?
if you think about it.. MOST of what the gauge is doing occurs at the top.. so its more logical to cast the light where the numerals of the guage are located.. i have NO issue seeing these at nightHondaSpeedaX said:hmm i woulda thought it'd be in the middle so that it would evenly disperse the light
the ONLY thing i will dispute (since most of what you stated is opinion and you are totally due your opinion) is the nitrous thing... a bolt on nitrous kit will BLOW MOST honda swaps out of the water for a FRACTION of the cost.. i like straight line speed.. so i could spend 2-3 thousand on a b series and pick up maybe 40 hp.. OR i could spend $500 on nitrous and pick up an easy 70 and a s**t load of torque.. i instlaled the nitrous 5+ years ago and NEVER looked back.. eventually when this motor fails.. ill swap.. not because i dislike the y8 but because mine died and at the point of replacign or rebuild id rather start with a fresh motor..... ive even consider building the y8 for even more nitrous.. the reality is a b16a2 (for example) is just really not all that far ahead of a y8.. for the cost of a swap you could fully build the y8 and spray well over a 100 shot..NOFX said:I honestly don't really like the interior lighting. It throws me off that they're yellow and white in the daytime but light blue. I think the yellow clashes with the blue lighting, so it seems like an odd choice to me. You know I don't like the carbon kevlar piping (just don't like the look no matter what the price) or the unpainted moldings (though I don think you'd need a new lip if you painted them) or the nitrous setup. I just don't like nitrous anyway. It's one of those things I only think should be an add on on top of a lot of other engine buildup and performance mods that pertain to the motor.
And all on a Y8. Sorry, you know I don't like mine either and I'm straight up pissed I'm having to spend money on fixing a transmission I don't want.
I'm not 100% convinced those floormats are dark grey either. A small piece pehaps, but it screams out to me since it looks so pale in comparison to everything else. And I can't quite put my finger on it... but something looks like it's missing from the back. I can't figure it out.
I do like the foglights though (I wonder how the clears would look on silver - probably too muted on your car at least). And I like the roll bar. I love the headlights too.
I have odd tastes in car parts though, so don't take it too personally. I've abosolutely HATED other cars that everyone else has loved on this site. I usually try not to comment if I think it's going to be a most negative reply unless of course it's something I think I could help out with through suggestion (like detailing, or another lip, etc).
and you have yet to rate me with the famous black hope rating system..BlackHope121 said:damn fool your up to 17,000 views..
It has nothing to do with the price to me. I just don't like nitrous unless it's an add-on to other work previously done to the motor.oc_civic said:the ONLY thing i will dispute (since most of what you stated is opinion and you are totally due your opinion) is the nitrous thing... a bolt on nitrous kit will BLOW MOST honda swaps out of the water for a FRACTION of the cost.. i like straight line speed.. so i could spend 2-3 thousand on a b series and pick up maybe 40 hp.. that to me makes no sense as just about every entry level nitrous setup is designed to work with a COMPLETELY factory car.. BONE STOCK...NOFX said:It has nothing to do with the price to me. I just don't like nitrous unless it's an add-on to other work previously done to the motor.
y8 (127 at the motor) + a 70 shot ='s 197 at the motor.. again.. blowing away most swaps.. ALSO... nitrous can be swapped over to any swap down the road OR used in conjunction with any other motor work (providing its geared towards nitrous use.. but the same can be said abotu turbo).. nitrous is a GREAT mod that can grow WITH you as you do with the car.. so being a logical thinker i decided to get my extra power sooner than later.. so it doesnt matter WHAT b series you are talking about except maybe the b18c5 or b16b both are pretty good for what they are.. but keep in mind what you could do with a y8 and nitrous for the cost of a b18c5..NOFX said:Oh, and I think generally speaking the B16 is a poor motor to swap into a car. Particuarly 6G coupes since you could buy one like that. Overpriced for what it is too (both the motor, and also the car).
You're not understanding me. It's not about it being okay to use on an otherwise stock system. It's not about it having more horsepower than most swaps (bang for buck deal). It's just that I prefer not to have it. I'd prefer for it to be one of those kinds of things where it's like, "I don't really have much more to do, so I'll get nitrous."oc_civic said:that to me makes no sense as just about every entry level nitrous setup is designed to work with a COMPLETELY factory car.. right thats what i was trying to get across..Rand0m said:i dont understand...your saying to save the easiest, cheapest, most logical source of power until AFTER youve spent money on a bunch of other stuff?
i just dont follow your reasoning...not trying to start a fight...
believe it or not at the time.. it was only like the second or third "go" mod.. everything on this motor is just bolt on.. but there is really not much left to add without openign the motor up and i DOUBT ill be doing that.. probably just spray it till it dies..Rand0m said:and i also wouldnt call anthony's motor *stock*....the nitrous WAS added to other things
