Well my first night to the track I smoked a 95ish GT, that I though was going to eat me for lunch  It was orange with a full body kit, svt spoiler, and rims, the tag read 1bad232  I ran a 9.91 and he ran a 10.35. What do you think I could run in the 1/4 with that in the 1/8?
10.3!!?? I'm running a 10.1 in the 1/8, that guy can't drive.

Yeah, I'm sure everybody could have done better but traction on that track sucked balls! We were at bama, I don't know if you've ever been there. I'll send you a pm next time I go which will be in about 2-3 weeks, and we should meet up. I def. drive/launch better on the street. That was the first time on a track for me, and the first time I launched it on the track was about my 4th time launching the car period. I was hooking up so good on the street, I don't know what happend at the track. On the street I prob. could have ran a 9.6-7??? Plus I've heard of near stock civics running 16's/high 15's in the 1/4 so I'm gonna have to dissagree with that. :???:

1/8 is all about the first half of the race, and still depends on power. It's easier to launch a lower powered car, than a high powered normally. The times I got beat were because of a bad launch but I would start pulling on them pretty hard but they got too large of a jump to catch up to in a short 1/8 of a mile. Where in the 1/8 guy 1 would run a 10.1 and beat my 10.2-3 but I would have smoked him in the 1/4 because I have more power. Discuss...

that is true...its way easier to launch a lower powered car....i would launch the hell out of my d series.....and spin for a moment....then have complete hook up...with the b16.....i definetly launched....broke and axle....and the differential....so the runs i actually made it down the track....i spun probly horribly...

my r/t was a .179 and my 60' was a 2.405....spinning

Yeah man, sounds cool. I've heard Gs-T's have shitty traction at the track, but can tear up some ass on the street, no idea why.

what's your trap in the 1/8th mile??

9.9 would be around mid to high 15's I think.

I ran 9.7 and I ran a 14.8

I know I know....My launches were sucking....I was launching very low...3500 rpm.....

I test drove a SS and they are pieces of s**t let me tell you. The interior is cheap for a brand new car, it has 203hp WOW that sucks ass for a s/c car. The new civic si would walk all over your cavalier, oh sorry i mean cobalt. Plus i see GM trying to copy the other car manufacturers and make a sporty sedan, the SS sedan that is not even s/c'd. Plus why the hell they call it a SS, that is a disgrace to GM calling a 4 cylinder a SS. Get over your hump man, you bought a car that is going to have a low resale value, gets horrible mpg, and the only thing it is probably good for is auto-cross, maybe. Go and hang out with some saturn redlines maybe they will be your friends
