soooo i am currently looking to buy a car max is $14k what would you have? winter driving includes snow, maybe 1-4 times a year, our family cabin requires potential snow driving. i am an adult so nothing like "a slammed ef hatch" car truck suv dont matter what would you do with $14k can be new or used. and the car must not be broken in the driveway for any stretch of time.
to start the game out my "short" list has included a few cars
300zx turbo
s2000
s4
m3
xterra
wrx
legacy
350z
g35

yeah i really like the g coups but my problem is the right one is "rare" i want white with black leather 6speed and brembos, my buddies mom had one and the dealer said that at the time they had less than 1000 made with those options, dont know how true that was but in my area i have yet to see one for sale with those options. can you tell me why hands down you want a g35, i know my reasonings but i like to hear other peoples options =)

Wrx looks like a decent choice as well.

upon further review the wrx is looking less than tempting, as they dont fair too well at higher milage and they have weak transmissions :(... jason if that is a running nsx i would take it in a heart beat, where the hell did you find that bad boy? in my area the cheapest i have ever seen is ~20k

I keep an eye out for NSXs on a daily basis  I've been wanting one ever since I could remember and if I find one at the right price and close enough, I'd be picking it up

Good condition late 90s early 00s are still running 30-50k.

Give 'em a call and see what's up.

15k is the right price but the distance is too far for my comfort.

could put evo on the list too, but you plan on having children? if you do, i would take any two seaters out of the list. i know a few people who buy a car like a s2k or 350 and then have to sell it because a child comes into the picture.

jason i shot them an email to see whats up. greg i do plan on kids some day, in the next few years but as of now, i am in no rush to let that dampen my hopes for a fun car. can an evo be had at 15k? and i have alway heard that they dont fair well in the maintenance aspect.

If you can bump that budget up to 19,995 there's a clean NSX in Garden Grove, CA.

ok well that works then. not worrying about kids opens up a lot of options. IDK about Cali, but i know in the northeast region they can be found for under 15k. ive seen them from 11k and up, but i cant tell you much about maintenance with them. i never owned one. i know Chris Hartsock on here, i think his name on here is 98civic something has one. he had the blue si with red rims that was crushed by the tree. you could talk to him about them

I think that G35's are sexy as hell, and for the price have a pretty nice drive train. s**t, all I want is a coupe with black interior with a manual transmission, brakes and exterior color don't matter to me. I have yet to find one that wasn't riced out. I found maybe.......2 with black interior and manual trans, they both had body kits, neons and chrome wheels.

i know what your saying....

ugh... its a ford...

BUT... .its a diesel... i know at the moment diesel is expensive... but look at the up sides of diesel... they can run on bio diesel... which can be made or had for cheap... they run FOREVER!... they can be fuel efficient...

this truck has all you can ask for... leather... DVD... seats 7 people... heated seats... 4WD.

yes it has a lot of miles... but again... its a ford and its a diesel...

personally... i dont like the 6.0L but thats my opinion...

but hey.... your money... so... just take a look at it... but i actually think ive met all your criteria... except the mileage...

my family owns that same drive train in a super duty 250, aside from the high milage the truck has been pretty good to us. that 6.o motor has been a bit of a b***h in the last 20k miles on it however it has been neglected a little. the gas milage is sort of bothersome to me, i think the truck gets in the arena of 15 mpg on freeways and i would not believe the excursion bests 13 highway.
