so I actually got to do some work on my car today for the first time in along time... wish i didnt... The purpose of today was to install my a/c into the car finally, turned out i had a little detour.
jacked it up on stands look to my left and i see grease everywhere...
i had no indication whatsoever that my axle was bad lol, so i decided to yank that out and finally get a reman from advance for the warranty (i purchased this one used back for the LS swap)
Also removed my front cross-member to replace it will my new traction bar
So i got the a/c idler bracket bolted on (THANK YOU KERBY) to the innovative a/c bracket, bolt it in, then bolt the compressor in and the idler pulley wasnt lining up... So i pulled apart the other one i had and put it in and it worked thank god. i tried to get a belt on, and that was a no go, have to buy a larger one tomorrow.
after that was the traction bar install...what a pain in the f**king ass... more so cause my frame is f**king bent...yay....after a few hours of figuring out what to do, i decided to remove the rad and beat the s**t out of the bent tow hook area to get my traction bar in (looks like ill be putting it on the frame machine asap).
so i finally get the traction bar bolted in, and the radius rods attached to the LCAs, getting ready to go put the axle in, and i f**ked up again, i picked up 93 teg axle instead of a 90-91. Today has been just "one of those days" (started being 30 mins late for class)
So thats where im at right now, not to mention the HUGE ASS RAIN STORM that came through while im 1/2 way in the garage working on the car, yea totally awesome lol.
tomorrow im getting the right axle
getting all my suspension bolted back up
clean and install all my a/c lines
replace all the o-rings for the a/c hoses
reinstall my rad and fill all fluids
do oil change for the motor
then take a drive to my friends place and pray that my a/c works
i hope tomorrow is better...
