havent seen a si run against a neon, seen a gsr run one, o well i have yet to see a neon with a decent drive though so that mite be the problem
u know wats even worse i have yet to see a type R of any sort, no one around he is wiling to buy one they all suk, they would rather buy a stolen motor from a persons car that lives down the street from them and they consist of ls gsr and b16, there was one b17 but was sold to someone in seattle, waSXE-10 said:

i love base neons. there one of the few cars i can smoke. along with hyundai accents and geo metros.
as for the dodge neon srt-4, if you seen a integra gsr run one with just bolt ons your full of s**t.

oh ok. yeah after rereading.. yeah agreed. i've seen alot of shitty srt4 drivers. stalling on the drag strip. or just running piss poor quarter miles of high 14's +

they guy that ran against the srt4 didnt know wat the motor had bc it was stolen, all he had put on it was a header and a cai, but other than that he had no clue, and yes they are some shitty drivers here that dont know how to drive and shouldnt be allowed to reproduce at all.lolIGotASlowCivic said:

if the srt4 didn't have a turbo in it noone would be buying them except poor people. who would buy a neon with the intentions of building it up into a fast car. That thing would fall apart in a few years. My opinion is that, the only reason dodge came out with a turbo neon is cuz they notived how popular the import tuning game got after the "Fast and Furious" movies and they wanted a piece of it. If you notice Honda was the only company that stayed true to the game and did NOT add a turbo to their 4 cylinder cars but still made them faster. Mitsubishi, Dodge they both added turbos to their cars to make them fast, but look at the new Civic SI that makes 197 hp without a turbo. Now that's what I call engineering.
Anyone can buy a fast car and brag about it, but it's a lot harder to make a mediocre car just as fast. Plus you get a sense of pride from it because it's all because of you, and not because you bought it that way. That's just my opinion.
Would I take an SRT4 if it was given to me?? Of course. But I would give a lot of respect the Civic owner/tuner who almost outran me.
