Yup... Took off the valve cover and the upper guide was broken. It was just laying on top of the timing chain and I just picked it up. The guide was completely severed from the cylinder head...
But now, no more rattle and suprisingly, the engine is way more quiet even before the horrible rattle started.
mine still hasn't gone out but i think i'll take it out before it does..lol

I started laughing when I went to wiggle the top guide to see if it was loose and I was able just to pick it up. :lol:

If it breaks you'll know about, mother of god it was an annoying rattle. Hurry up and get rid of it and hope a lower guide doesn't break... cause they ain't exactly easy to get to.

Finally went and bought a dryflow filter. No more un-oiled k&n since any amount of oil on it would really piss off my maf sensor lol.

f**k, my starter is about to die and the bolt holding the starter on will not come loose because there is no room to get any leverage.

Got a new starter in thanks to a second person pulling on the ratchet.

I start a new job in Oct so I will finally be able to get the 240 off of the street and start building it up!
