Well this is today's progress. Just cleaned out the booth after working on a plane and prepped and painted the bottom side of my new hood.

Sealer

Hood lookin good. I'm so much happier with it than with the other hood.

And here's what is on the other side of the curtain. A few planes that I had just freshly painted.

Well I painted my Left quarter panel, hatch door, and my new hood. It all looks really really good. The hatch looks like it's already been buffed. I re figured out how to spray the stuff I guess. It's been a while since I'd sprayed a lot of automotive paint. But the downside is that I forgot my memory card in my computer. Just lovely when you go to take a picture and really can't take any. I'll get some tomorrow.

Get money and skills that kill. I don't need anyone else to do anything for me really So I say try to be as self reliant as possible. If you can't do great body work find someone who can or learn. The worst thing to do is to have shady paint and body work. That's what everyone sees first. So it has to look great. Either you do it well or pay someone else to. Don't penis out. Go somewhere very reputable. Don't try to save a grand because I'm positive you'll end up regretting it.
Also don't cheap out on parts and buy a bunch of obx or ebay crap. Unless you really have a very small budget and aren't worried about reliability but want the "look". I'm not saying buy the most expensive thing out there but get something nice.

So words of wisdom is that if you can't work on your own car, then you don't need one.( Not everything. Don't be so literal). If you can't do something, find someone that will let you watch how to do it. You can't learn if you don't try.

Well here is the pictures I would have taken last night. It looks really good. I have to buff it this weekend. I would work on it Saturday but I'm selling a Jackson racing supercharger kit I have for a gsr to a buddy of mine and installing it for him. So Sunday it is. As far as recent purchases I came home and ordered a bronze windshield for my eg6 from Hmotorsonline.com. It was a pretty fair price. It should be here in 2 weeks or so.

Here's some pics of the stuff I painted.(the hatch looks like it's almost been buffed already)

Hood lookin' real good

And finally I'm happy with the quarter panel. It will need to be sanded down and buffed but should look amazing. I put 3 coats of clear on all of it so I have something to cut and buff off.

Ok well I decided I needed a different valve cover. I wanted a J's racing valve cover, but wasn't too keen on buying one for about $4xx, and no body had any new ones. But out of necessity if you can't find something or someone doesn't make something you can just do it yourself. It helps that I paint because all I had to do is paint one up. It's not real, but the oil cap will be and I'm sure they won't mind since I bought a lot of their stuff already. But it's a little more work than it looked like. I had to strip it,sand it, etch it, treat it, prime, seal, base and clear it. So it's not as simple as it would seem. I think it's pretty close.

Don't hate lol
