thanks guys. i bought the paint at michaels, a craft store. home depot doesnt have it, nor did menards. hobby lobby probly does. i did 4 coats. on both of them, and i had to redo one, because the clear coat messed it up, so i just have four coats of paint. no clear coat
yo should put a clear coat on, rocks and stuff gonna start chipping the paint away. looks good though, im gonna get them soon

i take it you didn't see where he said the clear messed it up, there is a clear type of tape that is made for painted surface's, which is a route i might try once i paint mine.

yeah dude. the clear coat sprayed on too heavy, totally jacked up the paint on one of them. so i had to remove the paint with lacquer and the repaint. not a big deal. if they end up getting chipped and whatnot ill just redo them.. and try the clear coat again. or if i could get a hold of some of that protective film. anyone know where i can get some. i dont want it to give the fogs a blurry faded look tho. so, maybe ill just wait til i redo them. if need be.

i just got back form advanced auto, the have dupli-color metal cast paint which is used for the anodized look, and i tried it on some glass, worked perfect, so i'm going to use that for mine.

Do they come in red paint, if so, do you think it will work with the gauge cluster lights?

fogs are from ebay. depot lighting. theyre really nice. come with everything. oem switch, plenty of wiring. the paint is only available at craft stores. and look in the glass section. not in the paint aisle. the paint comes in a bunch of colors.

for you that cant find it in stores

let me know how this turns out. im curious. just make sure that light travels through the paint. the hard part is. when you think your done painting, and you turn on the lights, white light comes through in some spots where the paint isnt as thick. just make sure your doing even light coats, youll be pleased with your outcome
