image quality compared to jpeg is minimal,...... but file sizes are ridiculously huge.

can one of you camera pros tell me what the benefit is of shooting RAW?
Image quality in large prints is substantially better. Smaller prints will benefit less.

Also if you have Photoshop CS3 working in RAW is faster and you don't lose quality each time you open or close the file like you do with a jpg.

Compression and decompression cause losses in jpg files over time.

raw makes a HUGE difference in post processing, low light is a very minimal part of it
