yeah, i've been hanging out on the evo forums for about a month or two now... Freaky thing about the IX's is that with just a turbo back, fuel pump, boost controoler, and a tune, they're breaking into high 11's. Does'nt even make sense that cars should be doing that with so little mods. They're going from like 230 awhp stock to like 320 with just those and running those times. Turbo back exhaust, sorry. Basically it's a 3" downpipe, 3" high flow cat or test pipe, and a 3" back exhaust... pretty much what it consists of. All that, including the tune, fuel pump, and boost controller will cost you about $1500. Some guy from Buschur is selling the exact package for 1300 i think... not too much to spend considering it'll put you in the 11 sec 1/4 mile range. odd thing is, i dont know. I believe it's the larger hot side on the turbo and the Mivec head on the 9's. The 8's I believe have a smaller turbo and no Mivec. It's a GSR... I was origionally going to get the RS, but I decided against it due to the lack of ABS. I put down a 13k downpayment (all the money from parting out my 240sx and some money i've saved up) and now I'm paying like 430/month for payments... it's brutal... lol. yeah. I dont know if I'm going to like the X though. Or the new STI. Are they still keeping the alluminum block? I was thinking about buying a used 04/05 STI, but was turned away by the aluminum block and their lack of response to mods. I dont mind the payments too much, I can afford the payments AND still be able to do stuff that I want to do.. so it's not holding me back too much, it's just mods will come slower than when i had my 240. Probably in 2 years ill trade the ol wrx in. Rumor on the wrx forums is h6 3.0 twin turbo sti...and if it doesnt happen im probably going to be turnin to the dark side with a evo x
