honestly i dont get the 61k size stuff, i just set the dimensions to 500 x 100 and go from there..sry

it f**kin says no larger the 35KB, so when you f**kin make them the file size can not be above 35kb.

still didnt explain why the 35k size matters, you stopped talkin to me so i jus X'd outta it.. the dimensions are the same, everything works except the 35k size..

how does that effect the server if it's not on your server?

I understand the limit of dimensions, but when it comes to file size, as long as he's not uploading his stuff threw your server, it shouldn't matter, what so ever. You could say it's messing with your bandwith, but if you know anything about websites, 60 kb or even 500 kb isn't anything... so I'm not really sure what the big deal is about. Unless he was using ur uploader service to do that. which you can put limits on so they can't go over 35k like you did on the avatars....

so, its the froum rules, its teh way Jay Jay wants it, we have a limit becouse some people still use dial up, and larger images slow the pages when loading..

thats the big deal, like I said, if you dont like it dont make/have a signiture picture.

haha than you might wanna get rid of the fancy lay out if your worried about people with dial up homie... still don't see why any of this matters, what you could do if ya'll were smart.... is put it so thier sig only shows up once per thread, so won't be loading "I heart my crx" every post...... I mean... since ya'll are so worried about people with dial up and all....

your right about that. the problem is people that DO use clubcivic's bandwidth for their sig. there are way too many members on this forum to go through everyones sig and check to see where it is being hosted. thats why the rule has been set for a sig no larger than 500 x 100 and 35kb max. hope you understand

once an image is loaded on a page, if the image is coming from the same source it doesnt need to be downloaded again to be viewable in a 2nd spot on the same page. its taken from the cache

honestly if you're here to ridicule go somewhere else, since your made it ever so clear about your intentions for joining ClubCivic. The rules of clubcivic stand as they are now, if you want to discuss a rules intentions post it up in the Website Suggestions section. however until the discussion happens in that section where an admin will respond, they will remain clubcivic rules and if you wish to stay a member here you need to abide by them
