I think Exospeed just went over this.

So... the top one is an example of a closed deck while the bottom one is an example of an open deck?

a quick summary again. I explained it earlier on this same post.

the closed deck, which is the top one that you have there is overkill if you arent planning on a full race seutp. the open deck sleeves is the bottom one and are good for your average 20-40psi setups.

Sorry to say, but I wasn't asking the difference I was just asking which deal was better: the sleeved block with no internals for $1000( I think) or the complete sleeved block for $3000. How much are your sleeved blocks? I need a B18B1

well you cant compare the 2 since one is complete and the other one is bare.

I am not sure of other builders' prices but we charge $2800 for a complete Sleeved block with internals and assembly.
Just the Sleeving it self is $880 and includes the bore, hone, hot tank and deck the block.

Keep in mind that prices vary from different places due to the parts they use. Some sleeving prices wont include the machining and just the sleeving, so it actually costs more. And for assembled blocks, some prices vary due to the Cheaper Bearings they use or they use cheaper aftermarket replacement gaskets other than OEM Honda parts.

Do you have any B18B1 blocks in stock? If so will it cost $880 for the sleeved block? or is that price for parts/labor and no block?

I believe we have several B18A blocks available. The B18B is essentially the same block so it doesnt matter.
The $880 is for the sleeving service, bore, hone, etc. You supply the block like any other sleeving company or you can purchase a block core from us.
email me if you want to discuss this further.
