The rust scares me. As for singlecams speedfactory and bizimoto are single cam gurus. Got traction is from speedfactory and they have an 800hp single cam right now send him a pm lol. Course he is boosted.

800hp?!?!?!??!?! Damn lol thats some stupid fun power! i could only wish mine could push that but i need it to last so i can get to college n home which is like a 15 to 20 mile drive a day but oh well the more power the more fun as they say...but around 250 is nice because i have enough to keep up with some semi stock bseries. It makes me more anxious to build it so i can enjoy doing that.

well i looked on fjdistributors.com and i am gettting high compression pistons n rods so i couldnt really run boost unless its really low psi and if i am wrong correct me? lol that was what i was told from some civic buddies around here. Is that turbo the whole kit or what is it missing? jw

the turbo is just the turbo. nothing else.

i was reading on here before it doesn't really matter how much boost you run before your stock components can't handle it. its based on hp. because you could have a tiny turbo and run 15 psi to make the same hp as a huge turbo running 3 psi. making sense? so apparently the stock engine will handle about 200hp.

with the fj kit, it'll raise your compression and allow the turbo to spool faster and get you more hp. to the best of my knowledge

hey man. if your doing a dd. i would go non turbo. specially if your driving on the highway at high speeds u wont use the turb unles you gun it and spool. and there is alot of tuning to do. i would do a mid all motor build good pistons and rod and main berings new seals and a stage 2 cam with msd sport compact igntion and bigger throttle body with your z6 motor. ull see a nice change.

UPDATE: i painted my z6 block a black with a lil gloss in the paint. it looks really nice but i dont have pics yet but sooon. Plus i sent my crank in on friday to get polished. But the guy there said it might need to be balanced but it might not. should i just do it anyways??? its 45 for polishing n 75 for balanced.

get him to call you about it. if he finds out it needs to be balanced get him to balance it, if not then don't worry about it.

well the block n crank both only have a 100k on them because the guy didnt change the timing belt n it snapped on bent the valves so thats why im on edge about it

yea thats what im thinking. Im getting like 70 or 80 dollars for watching my moms friends cats over memorial weekend so that will pay for most of the cost but i am looking at a different job this summer instead of working at mcdonalds (===8 if i get the job i will start $15 an hour building semi trailiors so hopefully i get that job. Then i can go all out on building my car. Cant wait!!!!!! But for some bad news my tranny is making noises and idk what it is but i checked the fluid it was really low so i guess my tranny is leaking but there were no shards in the fluid so i think its a bearing not quite sure though any ideas on what it could be????

should i just tear it apart n look for the part or just buy a rebuild bearing kit plus the seal because it needs it? any ideas?

You've got some great ideas flowing around here. I would not go the turbo way, but give the engine a makeover for the moment if money is an issue for the time being. Later, you can play with it a little more once you have a steady flow of income coming your way.

well i get the crank back today and the pros said it doesnt need to be balanced because its right on the dot so i decided not to so i just got to save up n get the rebuild kit, virgin p28 ecu, plugs and wires. Getting closer but still looking for an ECU in need of one lol
