OK, by now it's extremely obvious I know d**k about a Honda. I grew up working on V8s...old V8s like Chevy 327s and 350s...where the hardest thing to do to it was tune the carb properly. I find it easier to bore, stroke, balance and blueprint one of those than to put a damn computer chip in one of these Hondas. The last turbo I tinkered with was from a 1962 Buick Skylark with a 215 V8. The damn turbo on that was about the same size as the head for one of these Honda motors.
Up until today I'd never even heard about an electric supercharger. The only ones I've ever seen were belt driven. It sounded to me like $600 was a damn good price compared to the $2-3 grand I'd been seeing for "traditional" superchargers. Cut this old fog some slack y'all, damn. I guess I can just go get a heater blower, go Tim Allen on it and I'll be all set...just like that other pic I saw earlier.
Just for clarity, I wasn't asking how it worked physically...I was asking how it worked as far as performance is concerned. Now since a couple of y'all have so eloquently pointed out it's not worth it, I'll stay away from it.
Also, to point out...I'm not a "tuner" as you call yourselves now. I'm an "Old School" motorhead. Big blocks and normal aspiration was how I grew up.
