Thinking about trading in my STI for a FXT!

So my STI is running up on pretty high mileage and I'm not really into the whole sooped up car scene anymore. I was tossing around the idea of trading in my car for a newer STI, but I don't think I'd want to be paying for a car with a higher monthly rate. So I looked into other cars and what not and found nothing to my likings until I came across these 2 Foresters (used and in my budget)!

2009 Subaru Forester 2.5XT - $26k - 22,493 miles

- I love the color on this, and the new spiffier interior (except the seats, the seats look horrible!), but it's a 4spd automatic, although great for long trips and daily driving.

Or this (Janiks has one w/ much lower miles, but I don't think he'd take my car as a trade in luls).

2006 Subaru Forester 2.5XT Limited - $17k - 61,907 miles

- Subtle and sleek! 5spd manual, leather interior, and very affordable! Plus, if I pick this up, I can swap over my turbo from the STI plus other little do dads! The only bad thing is that it's high in mileage as well.

------------------------------------
This so people know, the meaning of the "T" in the "XT" is that it's TURBOEDDD!
------------------------------------

*Not looking to pick up a brand new vehicle since that'll cost even more per month and I still owe a little bit on the STI.

So... Why am I posting this here on Clubcivic? Because you guys are fam and I need opinions! Oh and a recap of what my car looks like...

Wow... I haven't seen you on here in a while Dank.

Yea, the only thing with the newer Foresters is that it's more of an SUV, while the '06 is more like a wagon SUV, and I can actually DO STUFF to it if I feel the need to make it go faster, handle better, and etc...

If I pick up the '06, I already know I'm going to swap over all the crap from the STI into the FXT.

That 09 reminds me of those new Kia SUV's. I like the 06, also feel you on the sooped up car thing.

Might just be the angle tho.

Is this like when you "sold the STI for a Kia"?
No, this is serious... I would never trade my car for a damn Kia; you all just got punked on that! I just want something more comfier and subtle... Driving my STI around daily causes too much harrassement.

Doing stuff to it to make it go faster and handle better is "the souped up car scene" you are trying to avoid by getting another car.

Maybe I'm just seeing things?
styling wise only, I like the Kia better than the Forester.

Toneekay what about the Legacy? ITs your call, I just have never been a fan of the Forester.

Yea, let me rephrase that... I KNOW I won't leave the FXT alone if I pick it up. I don't want to soop up cars, everyone says that, but sooner or later, you're doing one thing or another. The most I'd do to the FXT is swap over parts from the STI and leave it alone; maybe drop in a 6spd.

I think... Subconsciously, I want a new project, but only saying that I "don't want to soop up" because it's a SUV. I mean come on, who soops up an SUV? Haha :D

The red one, newer ones, only come in 4sp AUTOMATIC. These newer ones are more of a SUV.

The silver one, is 5spd MANUAL. These older ones are more of a wagon, in which, more sportier.
