if thats what he said, he is a freakin idiot and should never be allowed to touch anyones car, EVER! i work at a body/mechanic shop and have done a lil of both, i always payed close attention to details of work along the way wether it was me or others doing it. trust me thats alot more than a new radiator support and sheet metal (fender, hood, bumper). do yourself a favor and take it elsewhere.stince said:thanks for the comments.
To clearify.
The lady stopped without a turn signal to check out a house she was buying to the right.
She didn't use a turn signal.
and we were traveling between 35-40mph.. i hit her as i was slowing.. about.. 10-15mph.
its a 2002 car with 30,000 miles... my car with 127,000.. my brakes = ??.. hers are barely broken in.. yes.. i understand what people are saying.. its my fault, but the fact that she didn't signal... kinda makes me mad. You can't just stop like that in the middle of the road.
Second.. the condition of my car.
Today i went to the body shop i had the car towed to.. Hes the best body guy in central pa. hes like.. fix, your airbags didn't deploy, and you can still drive it. all i need to do is weld the crossbar, get you a new left fender, headlight, lip, and hood. and your ready to get on the road... in fact, i'll just give you the money for a cf hood and it'll even taked less time to paint!
So.. he thinks its a definite repair... I'll keep ya'll in touch.. Tomorrow the claims adjuster comes from the insurance company... Everyone wish me a REPAIR only situation.. with a good amount of $$$ for stuff.
obviously that just the general body shop guy talk...nah mean. its not like he's gonna list every single thing that they gotta do n junk like that.... 8)ncirom2003 said:if thats what he said, he is a freakin idiot and should never be allowed to touch anyones car, EVER! i work at a body/mechanic shop and have done a lil of both, i always payed close attention to details of work along the way wether it was me or others doing it. trust me thats alot more than a new radiator support and sheet metal (fender, hood, bumper). do yourself a favor and take it elsewhere.
Wow... besides that you hit another car and not a concrete light pole, this reminds me of my wreck. I totalled my car into a concrete pylon at the base of a light pole. My brand new, not even fifteen minute old tire on the passenger rear... had a sidewall blowout as I went around a left hand curve. The cop told me my bone stock EX coupe was going 90mph. I was going 40mph last I looked (right as I went into the turn) and I'm willing to say I increased speed 5mph, but I doubt it. There wasn't enough room for me to have accelerated that quickly if I even wanted to.stince said:they said mine.. but thats because the cop said.. "You kids and your cars".. "and you were going like 80".. considering i have a d16 and just came off a red light 45 feet before.. thats one hell of a fast non vtec car!

LOL! Ahhh yes, I guess I have a bit of pondering to do about that question.NOFX said:A twenty-year-old talking on a cell phone has the reaction of a seventy-year-old.
I was behind a man that was no younger than sixty-five-years-old the other night on the way home. He was driving very badly and seemed distracted. When I pulled up to him he had a cell phone to his ear... So he has the reaction time of who?
bahahhahahaha that i would like to know.....i say atleast the reaction of 120 year old...wait who lives that long?NOFX said:A twenty-year-old talking on a cell phone has the reaction of a seventy-year-old.
