to bad you cant mount it in the truck yet =( soon though, soon
Well technically i could but im not taking a chance with fabricating around it. Gotta put in this spare keg to finish mockup. Hopefully soon the damn thing will be in though...

Straight ballin! Those motors are so weird looking!
Theyre badass even if they are weird lol

gay.... who cares lol
the thing that moves the car, its pretty silly looking. i assume a russian invented it lol
and i thought it was going to be colored in some odd color combo
Its a different combo than most do them in. Normally they are super flashy. I wanted something that looked like it belongs but still can tell its not original equipment ya know?

Plus i still have to bolt a bunch of cool s*** on. New waterpump should be here today also!

seems like that engine bay is big enough for another rotor
There really is no point in putting a 20b in this truck. Ya if i was planning on drifting it then definitely.

The 20b will be for a different project...

I've never seen the inside of a rotary motor before..

Well, now I have. =)

So got some more updates today.

Finally got my steering wheel from Nengun in Japan.

Very pleased with it. I have wanted this wheel since i fell in love with Hondas. Its a bit more popular now, but still pretty rare.

Also got a 14" chop saw of my own. Harbor Freight ftw!

Put one of my new rotors on my toyota hubs.

And then i got in my new water pump and water pump housing from Atkins Rotary. Oem Mazda goodness!

And my new oem flywheel.

Also ordered new hardware to mount my steering wheel since the wheel didnt come with it :what:

crazy how? 3 moving parts crazy? vs a simple 4 cylinder which is probably at least 30-40 moving parts.

piston engines may be more common place but they are much more complicated

Yup. Its just that people dont understand how a rotary works or what it looks like internally...

Too bad they arent more reliable

nice to see the motors home! the port job looks top notch!!! what is the color on it? hard to see if its gunmetal or somthing like that.

they are reliable engines, they just require more attention than a typical piston engine. also, piston engines have been around a lot longer than rotary engines... i bet if mazda continues to develop it for the next 50 years it will be a great powerplant.

They are cheap if they are blown up or whatever. Badically just find one with "bad compression" considering 90% of the time it is a seal issue.

Its a gunmetal color.

The rotary is a great engine. It just doesnt do well with emissions or noise controls in place. It is a race engine. High revs. Race gas. Premix and maintenance required.

If you watch them and keep on top of oil changes and such then they will run for a long time.

Theyre like a 2 stroke dirtbike..,
