Awesome progress man. Sucks about the setback but you're on it!
Ya. Cost me a few hours. But i think ill be ok.

Is it a bar and plate intercooler? Could weld yourself up a water to air
Its a votionspeed bar and plate.

It should be good enough for what the truck is going to be used for.

Lol. All this custom fab and you guys are b****in about an intercoolet

Hey bar in plate is great smaller intercooler for more power capabilities whats it rated for? What are you expecting out of the motor. My buddy has been working on his yoda pickup. We did a v8 swao from an elcamino swapoed whole front end with forerunner now he is having to get new motor though because of bad rod knock. He completed whole swap in 2 1/2 weeks with some help from me my buddy and his dad.

It just really suprises me how car enthusiasts of any kind wouldnt want to check in on a full custom and realize that you dont have to be a professional fabricator to build something instead of just bolting on parts.

Just blows my mind that this thread doesnt get more traffic.

Like i said, for what im doing it will be fine.

Engine was built and ported for a modest 300hp at the wheels. If it turns out to be 250, i wont be upset. I just want it to be reliable and look killer.

V8 swaps are a dime a dozen in minis but not very many people go to the detail this build is. A lot of it will be overlooked but oh well.

I have a vision and im trying to keep true to that path.

This build is sick so I just back like this  I'm too lazy to ever do something like this but I enjoy the fabrication and the refabrication lol.

nice to see a modest goal too. It's lame when custom cars are always down because things break from going overboard with power.

please proceed

Nobody is on my genitals. Im just saying if i saw a build like this thats totally custom i would be all over everyday. s**t theres way better builds than my truck. Guys with better equipment that do this s**t everyday. And i am in awe everyday when i look at their trucks.

Im not doggin your build at all Kerry. I check in daily and post a lot. Im just trying to stray away from a bolt on build and show you guys what a normal guy or girl can do if they wanted to.

Sure this build will probably never end. But thats where the fun is for me.

I appreciate everyone checking in and posting. And for those that understand the enormous amounts of work and time and money that have gone into this truck that barely looks like anything-- i thank you even more!

Ive often wondered many times if i should take the build off of this site just because i dont think it is appreciated. But i keep it for the few that ask questions and really care what im doing or y i am doing it.

It really goes to show that you can do anything and your mind is the only limiting factor( money helps).

Hope to have good updates in the next few days!

i know i appreciate you posting updates on this. i check it daily. i might not comment much, mainly because i just plain enjoy watching the progress without needing to ask a million questions.

one thing i miss about the body kit days of imports was looking at all the custom fabrication people would do.

I don't see why you should. It's a great showcase of your abilities, welding, creativity, etc.

i find it amusing you're doing all that fab work and covering it with that ugly square boring body.
I love the mazda B body. And plus i gotta keep something relatively stock :what:

Im a member of a few other sites but dont post much.

Ok so i had my buddy come back over just to have a second set of eyes and help me make sure everything was square and help with the game plan on this frame.

Basically decided just to go for it.

Put the bumper back on to make sure everything still lines up.

Looks good to me :what:

Hoping to get a good majority of it capped and welded this weekend so i can get the cab back on.
