Hey I have a turboed zc motor on a CRX it is running five psi but I would like to run 7 first is that safe for that motor and how would I go about doing it I hav a boost controller but only have somewhat of an idea can anyone help.
i dont run boost and i dont have much experience with it, but dont you adjust the wastegate, not the BOV to change your boost levels? maybe ive misunderstood how it works exactlyKing Bob said:I If you go f**king with the bov with out any way to check your work you will prolly wish you had a shop do it.
yeah.... and blow his rods. if he goes with some good management he can run 8 psi easily daily driven. but the main thing to watch is the size of the turbo. if the turbo is small he can even get away with 10 - 12 psi of boost. but if it is a big turbo... he can only go with about 8 psi.eggie75 said:2 psi ain't much... get better management then turn that boost up to like 10-15... then u'll be smilin
if your being sarcastic then you are even more un-intelligent.2psi can make or break a setup.no?and to tell someone they can run 10-15psi is ignorant, ragardless of the fuel management.what about injectors?what about fuel pump?what about turbo size?huh?alot more goes into changing boost levels than you are obviously putting into consideration.and do you realize how much of a difference 10 psi and 15psi is?just stop now before you get even further behind.eggie75 said:lol... yeah...![]()
yes,im an ass.no,im not your friend.eggie75 said:oh god... so anal... you're asking setup questions from someone that doesn't know how to turn up the boost w/ a boost controller. seriously
obviously turbo size, cr, fuel management , delivery blah blah blah it could go on and on - u can hear cases on opposite extremes - i know 2 ppl that run 12-18lbs daily on stock ls internals. zc has ideal cr for a turbo. he said he's running 5lbs now. what wastegate comes w/ a 5lb spring? a small one. you can criticize every word that i say, but bottom line its my opinion and you need to relax cuz u my friend are an ass.
safc is an awful way of fuel management? ive seen plenty of cars run safc and never blow up due to fuel issues.handlebarsfsr said:dont up the boost. safc is an awful way to manage fuel, and you dont mention if you have larger injectors or not. until you can get a proper fuel management program- uberdata, crome, turboedit hondata, aem, etc, i highly suggest leaving it, or you risk blowing up your motor.
No heys right...and for the same price you can get your ecu chipped with whatever program you want to run and prolly a dyno run or two. so Safc is dumb...buttom line.Bouncer said:ok whatever
