Yeah, searching that model on the Googs, there's a bunch of people having overheating issues with it. Definitely spray it out with some canned air. Make sure the fan is even working.Honestly, I think it's that, cause sometimes the entire OS will lock up to the point where it just sits there for 5 minutes. The laptop runs extremely hot so I've been running a cooling pad underneath but it isn't doing much help. Its a Toshiba satellite l305d-s5934.

A good way to test, download a program called HMonitor, which reads the HDD and CPU temps. Let your laptop sit off overnight so it's completely cool. Start her up, and immediately open HMonitor and check the temps after a few minutes or so. Leave it on, and recheck the temps a couple hours later and compare.
