What oil is everyone using?

I use Amsoil 10W30. I'ts supposed to be the best stuff out.

except ur civic owners guide along witht he cap of the filler says 5w30...but im sure u wiseguys that use 10w30 invented honda so who am i to say anything :what:

I post the same question about 4 years ago it was Castrol GTX 5w 30.
Times change huh . but I had 170000 and still going strong . except for a small glitch right now that I can not figure out -

I use Mobil 1 5w20. Which is the Honda recommended I believe.

read the whole paragraph... it says 5w30 but in a warmer climate, 10w30 is better suited. i use Valvoline MAX LIFE 10w30 or 10w40.... but i live in hot ass florida, so i can use the extra weight.

It's $21.00 for a 5 qt jug at WalMart. Syntec is 19.76. Our 2.4 turbo runs on teh Syntec

5w 30 is whats recommended for ur car period...no ifs ands or buts...
its good for all weather...10w30 u CAN use IF the temp in ur area never goes below 20..so they say...
i would stick to what ur car manufacturer suggests :lol:

bingo. there is a reason why honda recommends 5w 30. mainly because the main bearing clearence is a relativley tight. Honda spec ranges from 0.0011" - 0.0021".

5w-30 Royal purple...best synthetic out there....and no...you don't have to be rich....just save some $$...and buy a 56 $ case of 6....
