you dont wanna keep pushing hp with no tourque to back it up... run it up to the powerband drop-off then change gears...

The power band to most honda engines is far past redline. Especially those equipped with vtec. All our engines are smaller than 2 litres so what torque are you talking about? lol, Honda engines have to rev high to make power.

how are we smartasses? a question was asked and answers were given. when you are driving in competition, you go to redline. but obviously thats not the answer you want, so how bout you just shift at 3k rpm when you go to the track and see if thats better than the advise given here.
