supposed to be about 11° tonight... with a -15 windchill... you have nothing to complain about

40 is like summer around here. Hell, it was 41 today and I was out in shorts/t-shirt and such before/after work (7am, and 5:30pm so early morning, and dark hours) and was just fine.

40-50 range all the time would be perfect.

you know... i stepped out this morning to check my electric meter... and almost broke a sweat. it was 40...


serious case... last year... about mid jan... a cold spell... the high of the day was -9 degrees.

there was ice forming on the inside of the windows... not just little ice crystals either... like full on ice cycles... but... these were single pane windows... and i did cook spaghetti that night. so condensation had a hand in that. but still... ICE on the inside. if f**king blew. my heating bill was outrageous for that month too....

o but it is.

my apt has oldschool wood framed windows and it doesn't insulate that well. This year i covered the window that's in my bedroom with plastic window film. I taped it up to the walls extending beyond the window frames. so noticeable, so cozy, so Nice!
