How f**king hard is it to cook steak? Honestly... It's f**king ridiculous. My mom can't cook steak for s**t. I told her, "All you need to do, is just cut it down the middle after a while and see if it needs to be cooked more or be taken off".

She used to cook it by time. She'd set the steak on at a certain flame, take it off after a certain time, and eat it. I LOL'd at that. How the f**k do you cook steak by time? You have to factor in thickness, grade, etc. So she finally tried switching over to what I told her to do. She STILL can't cook it.

Today, she cooks steak, and when I went to cut it into pieces and eat, it was still BLOOD red and blood was seeping out. I was like, "Did you even cut this down the middle?" and she goes, "Yeah of course. That's how you like it right?". I stared at her for a second and said, "This is RED. Look at the blood when you push on the meat. I like pink. There's a difference" and she was like "Yeah that's pink".

Ugh... Honestly. I've never cooked steak in my life and I bet I could cook it better than she can if I just went outside right now and went at it. She's been trying for YEARS and still can't cook it. She likes her steak really well done.

Oh well... I live under their roof so who am I to complain?

I don't ask for steak lol. I don't even know what we have for dinner every day. I walk downstairs and somethings there lol. Would she tell me she's cooking steak, I'd be more than happy to cook it myself seeing she can't. But I ask what we're having for dinner for the next day and my parents never pick anything. It's always last minute. And steak isn't an often thing.

Someones a little mad I'm still babied and complain about it. Going to community college = FTL. And I don't make enough nor do I have the time to take on a real job to afford an apartment. Otherwise, I'd be outta here.

Your mommy and daddy still pay for your meals (I'm assuming since you don't have a say in it)... and your complaining... try being a student AND living on your own. Try eating ramen noodles and condensed soup for two weeks straight, and then complain how your mom cooks your steak.

I have. I used to go to a college far from home. Had to "enjoy" dining hall food which was f**king s**t. I just ordered all the time and had ramen noodles. Hell I had burger king on campus and used my meal swipes for a week straight, nothing else. Everything sucked at that school. And yes, I much rather would've had ramen noodles than poorly cooked steak at that point still ;). I love ramen noodles man. I'm asian.

I'm happy for you, really. Just try and show a little respect for the people that have busted their ass off so you can eat steak. =)

..anyways I enjoy this thread, so back to cooking.

Roasted garlic bread (I took this to my mom's house along with that roasted garlic thyme hummus HUGE hit.. thanks jdmspivic!)

3 bulbs garlic

Can you post a recipe for something that's Quick, CHEAP, Healthy, and does not include peppers or onions? lol... please.

In the mean time:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana protein shake
Needed:
-Blender
-3 slightly overripened bananas (just when they're starting to look like they've gone bad. They're the sweetest at this time.)
-1 packet of carnation instant breakfast milk chocolate
-Non-fat Milk (other types of milk can be substituted.)
-Peanut Butter
-Ice

1. Add bananas, and carnation instant breakfast into blender
2. Add 2 - 3 tablespoons of peanut butter (Some people like more or less of a peanut butter taste)
3. Add some milk and fill the blender the rest of the way with ice.
4. Blend until there are no more ice chunks and ingredients are well mixed.
5. Enjoy

NOTE: Use ice and milk to regulate texture.
-Ex: If you blend it and it's too thin, add more ice, reblend.
-Ex: If you blend it and it's too thick, add more milk, reblend.

Tastes great, Full of vitamins, Full of protein. Great for breakfast or after a workout.

Strawberry-Mango Kush Cake

ingredients:
- half ounce of mango kush marijuana (14g, now if you cant get this kind of dro, you can use any others with a sweet scent)
- 1 stick of butter
- 3 eggs
- cake mix (i prefer the chocolate marble)
- strawberry icing
- 1/2 cup of corn oil
- 1 cup of water
- pam (pan spray)

tools:
- frying pan
- baking pan
- mixing bowl
- whisk
- spatula
- straigner

marijuana butter:
- okay this is whats used while mixing the batter, this is a different technique than just using grinded marijuana.

1. turn on your stove to high and drop that stick of butter in the pan.
2. wait until about half of the butter starts melting, then break off budds from your branch and drop them in... you should also throw in the stem as well because it too, contains THC.
3. pretty much your going to cook the marijuana until it pretty much looses all its color and turns black, this process takes about 10 minutes. (a good way to get more out of this is to use your spatula and press down on each budd, dont forget to flip as well.)
4. after the budds are fried you will see that the butter turned into a dark greenish tint, this is the THC extracted from the plant
5. now grab your straigner and pour all the contents of the pan through the straigner and into a small bowl and leave it out to the side. (you should have at least 1/2 to 3/4 cups of the marijuana butter.)

cake mix:
- this is the part when everything is thrown together.

1. grab a mixing bowl, and pour all of your cake mix into it. (if you chose marble style cake, then leave your extra flavor package to the side)
2. pour in 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup oil in, and begin to whisk it.
3. now after you see the contents mix together crack open the 3 eggs and dropp them in and continue to whisk some more.
4. usually on most cake mix boxes, it tells you to stroke it for about 450 times. (stroke as in whisk, dont think nasty you pervs.)
5. after about 450 or so strokes, grab your MARIJUANA BUTTER, and pour it all in.
6. now you really want to stroke it for about a good 5 minutes or at least 500 more strokes. (i know it sounds alot, but its really important because if you have clumps of batter still in your mix then at the end your going to have a real lumpy cake, oh and you want the marijuana butter to be evenly spreaded throughout the mix.)

final stages:
baking time!

*preheat oven to 375 degrees*

1. grab your baking pan and pray the PAM all over it so the cake wont stick, then pour about 3/4 of the mix into the pan, IF YOU GOT THE MARBLE CAKE MIX. if not, then just pour it all in.
*steps for marble cake #1* after you pour the 3/4 mix into the pan, grab your other package and pour all that batter into the original cake mix.
*steps for marble cake #2* stroke for about 5 minutes or at least 450 strokes.
*steps for marble cake #3* after its mixed thoroughly, pour it in the baking pan in diagonal zig-zag form.
*steps for marble cake #4* grab a small spoon with small tip, and do swirls in the pan so you can see the design and form of the cake with the 2 different mixtures in it.
2. after the oven is preheated, slide in the baking pan... and wait
3. usually it finishes in about 30-35 minutes. (to tell if its cooks through, grab a toothpick and poke in the center of the cake and the 4 corners, if the batter sticks or if its moist with color, then its not cooked. if the toothpick comes out with nothing on it, then its cooked)
4. after its all cooked, bring out the cake and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes.
5. when its all cooled off, grab your icing and one of those spreaders. (its that flat plastic tool)
6. spread the icing all over on top of the cake, make sure its thick and plenty of it. (because its GOOOD, if you dont like icing then put very little or just dont put it at all.)

..
..
..

>>> now your finished!
>>> you can make this for yourself or for friends (better if you dont tell them about the secret recipe)
>>> if you used dro in this marijuana butter then it should take about 1hr to 1hr 30m to kick in after digested.

>>> i made this cake last weekend for my chicks bday, took about an hour to hit and stayed high for at least 8-9 hours.. ITS GOOD TOO!

ENJOY!!
