gsr turbo civic build

b18c1 block and a b16a2 head. I am shooting for 400whp. The motor is bone stock besides ITR cams.
hahahahahaha 18 psi on stock motor hahaha.

dude you can do 8-10 stock motor 12-14 with a block guard. amything higher and youll have reliable to the stop sign down your street.

and you made the mistake of saying o well if i blow it ill build it. with 18 psi your gonna blow a piston right out the side of the block. then your gonna spend 50 dollars to buy a new b18c1 block. unless you wanna jb weld it wich is impossible.

do it right the first time please. be patient.

and you realize when u crank the Psi up your just forcing more air into the motor. but with more air u need more gas and more spark.

walbro 255lph in tank fuel pump, atleast 750cc injectors for that much power, and a fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump will take care of your fuel.

irridiium plugs and some beefed up wires (not pepboys) may handle that for spark but i would go with an igniion system i.e. MSD

and what are you planning on tuning this on. theres more to it than welding your own manifold.

and by the looks of that turbo is it a t3/t04e ball bearing?

and then think about it, if you have 400 hp how are you gonna get that to the ground? what tranny? do u have an lsd? otherwise one tire is gonna skate you throught 1st and 2nd gear. and with 400hp your gonna destroy axels. and then your gonna need drag radials too.

theres allot more involved in making a 400 hp street car than a custom made manifole. wich doesnt look bad BTW

ok your covered on the drag slicks. didnt see the pics b4,

and i didnt even throw in overheatting issues or valvetrain. or throttle body and intake manifold just bc you have all that air to push in there doesnt mean its gonna get throught the TB and IM fast enough.

i would run the irridiums
ball bearing FTW gives hondas some sort of low end power.
ls tranny FTL longest gears, highest top end speed. (race from a 80 roll)

and about the 5th turbo car congrats. and now your building something weird and completely unethical, whats wrong with a ramhorn manifold and FMIC?

were u putting the IC in the car to be sleeperish bc the silver snail in the lower grill gives things away, haha

block guard isnt useless if you wanna run a cheap reliable 12 psi car moron. not everyone wants to attempt to run 400hp on a stock motor.

and your the one that wants to make 18psi 400hp on a stock block so dont say i dont know nothing about building a car hahahaha.

but GL on the build dude. like i said before i wanna see how it ends up. i hope you get your 400 mark and more and i hope your engine dosnt blow. not hating just informing. chill.

YEA I WOULD RATHER HAVE A GSR TRANNY
IM NOT RUNNING A FMIC BECAUSE THIS WILL BE MOSTLY A TRACK CAR AND A WATER TO AIR WILL COOL BETTER
AND NO THE IC ISNT UNDER THE DASH TO BE SLEEPERISH THERE WAS JUST NO WHERE ELSE TO PUT IT

Bbk TB is nice. I myself also have one. And if this thing is gona be a track car. Go all out and buy the type r tranny with the LSD that way u can get some good rolling wins too. But the cheaper B16 em1 Si tranny wouldn't be bad either. Short gear ratio and quickest off the line. The Si ones also come with a quaife LSD also. Without an lsd you'll just skate all over the road. And even with an LSD you'll still have traction problems on the street bc u can't run thos slicks on the street.

I Had A Bi6 Tranny On My Old Ls Turbo Setup, The Gears Are Too Short. I Was Trapping At 110mph And I Had To Go Into 5th Gear..

The Tires Are Actually Mickey Thompson Et Streets (dot Approved) So I Can Drive Them On The Street

Yeah b16s are pretty much only good for short street pulls unless u swap the final drive with type r.

I would recommend dumping the wad of cash on a full type r or get a gsr and put the type r LSD in it. That's what I'm working on, getting my LSD in. I have full b18c1 (head,block,tranny)

And thank god your car will strictly be a track. I had some drag radials with low tread on my dd for about a week and it just skated in the rain hahaha.

I would still recommend upgrading your fuel pump tho. Check out tunertoys.com for a walbro I got mine from there. And I have an aem fuel rail.

I think anyone wanting for a turbo build or just wants to learn should be forced to read this thread bc we've gona over some s**t haha.

so far i had seen this set up before but u learn something new everyday i hope it turns out good..... i saw the custum manifold and i hope those welds u did hold up good luck with the project so far 2 tumbs up
