I was on the way to buy a part from someone today, and I saw a cop pulled over on the side of the road, and was lost, so I asked him how to get where I needed, and as soon as I pull off, he pulls me over for my exhaust disturbing the peace, he said that he was in the middle of a phone call with his wife and could not hear her talking...got a citation, but WTF...I asked him if there was anything I could do, and even apologized and he just told me not to drive by him again or it would be nice ticket....I mean Come On.

almost that same s**t happened to me. except the cop pulled me over. i was mindin my own business on the highway (about 10 at night) and all of the sudden i get the headlights outta nowhere behind me. he flips his overheads on so i pull over. he comes to the window tells me to step out and walks me to the back of my car and points out my exhaust saying anything that makes your car louder or anything other than factory exhaust is illegal! luckily i only got a warning though.

Yea, luckily the guy I coach with is a Sherrif's deputy, and so was this guy, so he said he would have a few words with him tommorrow....
a citation is a ticket. ??? at least in tx. but thats gay. i got a ticket today for going 96 passing a car and i dont have a speedo i got by rpms so i wasnt paying attention and the cop was nice and all i can see why he gave me the ticket so i wasnt mad. but still i was passing a car that was going under the posted speed limit and i didnt even think i was going that fast and i was slowing down to the posted speed limit or what i thought was by rpms. and he turned around b4 i could even pass him so as soon as i passed him i pulled over bc i knew he waas going to pull me over. but wtf ever this is like my 6th speeding ticket and im prob going to loose my liscense or pay a fine for the next three years to keep my liscense.

You were probably in a no-passing zone. You know, if you have double lines on the road, then its illegal to pass a car, but if it's a single dashes of lines, then you can pass.

I had a local pull me and try to tell me my exhaust was to loud. Right as he was explaining it a Harley rides by and I can't even hear what he is saying. I just looked at him and said "What about him?". "That's none of your concern!". He let me go with a warning. It doesn't make any sense because my exhaust is extremely quiet. HKS Hi-Power. He said he could hear it get really loud like I floored it. I think he heard VTEC. Most of the local 5.0s are nice, but this guy was tripping over himself trying to find a reason to give me a ticket. Illegal Acceleration (I asked him what that meant and he didn't have an answer), Exhaust to loud, Speeding (no clock on my and I never went over 35). He was just in it to be a prick.

d**k head cop. parkin to far from the curb. when i lived on dead end street. - court excused
d**k head cop. no front license plate. - court excused
d**k head cop. expired piece of paper for insurace that was a day old. - court excused
d**k head cop. exhaust being to loud. - court excused
all this happend within a year. cops dont like hondas. or any other imports. f**kin faggot ass allen/mckinney/mellisa/plano cops.

Cops aren't dicks when they give you tickets for doing something illegal. That's called doing your job. Why do people call cops dicks when they do their job? Sure sometimes they can be dicks when they give you beef about something more than you think she should. But they have right to. They enforce the law. They're not there to hold your hand and treat you like a toddler.
If what you say it true....and we all know it's not....perhaps you should start driving domestics. It's for your own good.

where i live, we joke around saying that cops will pull u over for driving a civic on a friday night. most of the time, it's warranted, but there are times when they seem to be nit-picking. most of the time theyre just doing their jobs.

Maybe it's just drivers who do illegal things that get pulled over and ticketed.
I have no problem with a cop that is doing their job. If I'm speeding and I get a ticket thats my fault, but if a cop pulls me over for having exhaust thats f**ked, and thats called being a d**k. I don't care what they say about disturbing the peace until every harley/chopper is quieter than me. Those shits are so loud they set off car alarms. Most cops (at least I hope) became cops to enforce the law, and make their local community a safer and better place to live. However some became cops because they were assholes in high school, and they figured this was a good way to continue their career by being and a*****e with a badge. I don't wan't to hear a cop is always doing their job, because thats a load of BS. I have friends on the force that hate some of the other cops, because they think they are Judge, Jury, God, and Captain freaking Commando of a police state.
