he's sorta right though, sure they look nice, but tehy are producing alot of glare that even your camera is picking up, it does bother my eyes to be honest, but it's not yur fualt, it's just the way the headlight housing were designed, which wasn't for HID's, thus why they are causing glare like they are, i'm not hating either, hell i have a set too for my FiT, though i haven't ahd them in the car for the last 2 months, i also actually re-aimed my headlights, and got a H4 adapter ring that cuts down on the glare, adn gives a better cutoff they a rebased h4 HID bulb, which also allows me to use a real D2S bulb, instead of a rebased bulb.

how does the ring work? does it go around the bulb? i was thinkin about breakin that shield reflector thing and makin something to go around the bulb. idk if it will work but itll put my f**ked up headlight to good use.

the adaptering fits into teh stock housing just like a H4 bulb, adn then you slide a real HID's bulb into it like you would any regular bulb, just check out their site, you'll even get to see a few pictures of what it looks like uninstalled and installed.

HID'S are nice! you should look into this little thing called "casper shields." It will help with the glare.

Whoa. Did u install the bulbs correct? s**t not soppose to be that blinding looking at it straight up. U sure thas 10k? 10k soppose to be alittle purple. Those look like 8k to me. Mines came out hella nice at 6k.

ive bin in a couple civics with 6k. its not that much different. i picked 10k because i like the color, there alot brighter then halogens and because im a ricer. i dont care if some people dont like them. there just jealous cause i gots more vtak

12k is like purple. after about 2 months they start to change color. they look blue..er

alright, quick noob question

so if i have the stock headlights in my civic and i buy a complete HID kit, say something like this http://www.ultrabrightlights.com/p-21447-5300k-mcculloch-hid-kit-with-wiring-harness.aspx ....will that make them looked all f**ked up and glare like the OP's (sorry...) or am i gunna have to get those casper sheild things or whatever? thanks.
