I wouldn't say it's clean as f**k.. the blue all over the inside is a little weird. It ALMOST works, but I'm not quite in love with it.im just sayin, its clean as f**k, i dunno if i could put that many subs all over my car
You obviously didn't beet, aka BEAT anyone in the spelling bee either.
And a bone stock 3.8 will wipe a bone stock zc's ass over and over. What mods does your zc have?
Green civic owner, do what you want, it's your money and well you have to drive the vehicle.
and people wonder why civics are hated.yes i did it was a 98 4 door grand prix with a 3.8 (non supercharged) auto weighing in at well over 3000 pounds against my 90 civic hatch with a dohc zc. it was just a race in town from 0 to about 60-65.
ya i can understand that. i have been wondering were a track is. Does anyone know of one in central MN?and people wonder why civics are hated.

yes it is your car, and if you really wanna spend that money on it then go ahead. but this is also your chance to get out of a 20 year old civic and get into something newer and better.i get the fact that its my car, and yeah i'm gonna throw some money at it... i'm just wondering why a few people here dont think its worth doing... i mean this IS a civic forum... does no one respect the EF?
In my opinion it is because Honda got a bad rap throughout the years. Older models are easy to find and cheap to buy. Many younger people who buy a Honda because of their popularity and proven reliability. Teenagers are for the most part STUPID and buy all the garbage parts, stickers and "accessories" they can afford from pepboys. I get tired of the bickering between domestic and import because no matter what you say the other guys car is better. Thats all you see on youtube and streetfire is "JDM suckz that torqueless little shitbox couldnt beat my Cavaqueer" and then "Your american made POS will probably break down halfway through the race!". GM got a really bad rap for their cars being unreliable in the 80s and 90s. Back then most domestic cars were junk. Funny I started a thread last year asking about why Honda owners all hate Cobalts and it got lockedAnyone notice that among people who dislike all imports, Honda is disliked the most?
I have noticed that on youtube people seem to despise honda's and especially civics as being the epitomy of rice.
You can go into a civic video on youtube and see five different people flaming about how civics are ricers and civics suck and this and that... You can see that in any import car video but it seems to be more concentrated in civic vids...
Also I have spoken to friends who drive things like neon's or as they prefer to call them VR-4's or whatever, and cobalts and other domestic cars llike them.. and they all seem to dislike honda's the most.
Why is this? Have we as honda owners given ourselves a bad name or do they dislike us because hondas are in fact the biggest competition?
What are your thoughts
I'm gonna have to say he's right. Modding a 20yr old car may not be the best choice.yes it is your car, and if you really wanna spend that money on it then go ahead. but this is also your chance to get out of a 20 year old civic and get into something newer and better.
wow that helps alot
alot of people love the EF but the resale will be way better if you build up a newer car.i get the fact that its my car, and yeah i'm gonna throw some money at it... i'm just wondering why a few people here dont think its worth doing... i mean this IS a civic forum... does no one respect the EF?
What do you expect? Alot of the hate comes withing the Honda community itself. OEM, JDM, Rice, B-series, D-series, 5th gen, 6th gen, Honda, Acura. Everyone is in competition with the person beside them. Before we can expect others to respect us, we have to respect ourselves first.
It's exactly why I got out of the Import/Honda scene. It's supposed to be about the passion for modding and racing cars, but some people can't grasp that concept. Plus Honda's are cheap which means ANYONE can afford one.wow didn't expect the rudeness.. didn't know we had so many self righteous a-holes up in here... i simply wanted to know why the general attitude twords honda's is that they are all rice...
how is it a ricer mentality to want to turn my car into something nice.... I dont go out to race my car, but the road i have to travel on to get home is a heavily raced road. Its the main drag that all the kids take their cars out onto, and because i drive a honda civic people assume that i'm out there to race... the reason for me fixing up my car isnt to go race, but it will feel nice knowing that what they once thought they could beat, is now something they couldn't...
are you sure the other guy knew you were racing? my tahoe is close to 6000 pounds and ill run circles around a stock zcyes i did it was a 98 4 door grand prix with a 3.8 (non supercharged) auto weighing in at well over 3000 pounds against my 90 civic hatch with a dohc zc. it was just a race in town from 0 to about 60-65.
and as far as mods all i have is a short ram intake
