That isn't good.. Your gonna have to make clearance... Maybe try the washer trick at the back of the hood?? But with movement of the engine especially with more power your gonna f**k something up...Did you guys cut your hood for the wastegate??? I forced mine on accidently, put a slight dent on the hood.
That only affects the back of the hood.. the wastegate is hitting up in the front.. I had this problem with mine.. just said screw it and beat my hood until it cleared.. didn't really care as my hood was already beat up.. oh well. That isn't good.. True, I was thinking more for just that little bit of an angel to take it off the WG.... Question is, is it hitting the framing portion or the actual outer skin? That only affects the back of the hood.. the wastegate is hitting up in the front.. 1. So I just have it running through the top of the VC? Or how do you suggest I run it?1 You don't want that steel braided feed line running between the manifold, under the plug wires and over the distributor...that's an accident waiting to happen.
2 The paper gaskets your using on the WG are noo good, if you have one between the WG and manifold, remove it.
3 Did you tap the oil pan anywhere?
4 Hood clearance: Either use a shorter wastegate, only use the side port, or use a wastegate elbow adaptor.
5 (I'd also suggest using the stock metal exhaust manifold gasket instead of that perforated gasket. I'd reuse the old one providing it's in fair shape before using one of those.)
i suggest you run it under the manifold and then to the right1. So I just have it running through the top of the VC? Or how do you suggest I run it?
2. So just run it gasket-less? Thats all it came with is paper.
3. Not yet, thats what its going to the shop tomorrow for. I got the bit and everything to do it, but Id rather get it welded to guarantee no leaks.
4. I could use the side port? I thought that was for something else.
5. Will do thanks man. Ive been using the perforated one for my header and it never blew.
i personally wouldnt run a T between the intake manifold the the fuel pressure regulator. I would run the line for the bov somewhere else
What do you recommend I connect to?? I couldnt find a vacuum source that was the same size.i personally wouldnt run a T between the intake manifold the the fuel pressure regulator. I would run the line for the bov somewhere else
The kink isnt there anymore, I adjusted so its pretty decent now.
you really should get a vacuum block.. theyre cheap and that way you have a good source for everything.. theres a nasty kink in your 'tee'
