would you say that it better than what you would recieve at a private hospital? a good example is also medicare, remember the movie crash where the cops dad has a prostate problem and cant get any help because he is in medicare... that would be a reality for most people under this new law.

The fact is that most Americans are insured and have full access to our health care. People that are uninsured have access to programs like Medicaid. Liberals claim that 30 million don't have access to health care and they falsely make claims that this monstrosity of of bill will cover them. The fact is that of those so called 30 million a good number are young people that simply choose not to purchase it even though they can afford it and a very large number are illegal aliens.

I pay a good amount for my wife and kids since I am self employed and yes I am very happy with it. Could the cost be lower yes however I will take it any day over a single payer system.
Wow, you just like making stuff up or you totally believe what the conspiracy and republicans are feeding you.

Alot of young people cannot afford health care. Point blank. I only know of 2 people who I know that can afford health care and have it. The rest don't have it because they cannot afford it or because they have no way of getting it.

If you took the time to look up the requirements for Mediciad you wouldn't be making false statements

ron currently there is about 305 million people living in the united states, of that obama and others point out that there are currently 43 million people without coverage, can you do the math for me and tell me the percent that are currently uncovered, is it the grose minority or a majority? and the car insurance is WAY different. its insurance for a privlage, notice that there is not a gun insurance for people who have guns? that is because owning guns is a right. can you draw the comparissions with this example? if not i will try to put it into more detail.

Oh please. You are completely out of touch with reality. Based on what you say above, the whole health care problem is a conspiracy contrived by liberals. How much reading do you do outside of a few ultraconservative publications on the internet?

If successful, the plan should increase the overall health of Americans.

a good example is also medicare, remember the movie crash where the cops dad has a prostate problem and cant get any help because he is in medicare... that would be a reality for most people under this new law.

The Bill attempts to address precisely this type of problem. Do some reading in some objective sources.

43 million people says it all.

Not sure what your point is? Obviously, gun related injuries are covered under personal or governmental health care plans.

is it that those people really cant afford it, or they choose to spend their money on other things first? If you cant afford healthcare, you dont need a f**king iphone, you dont need a led tv, you dont need to have a turbo civic. People who b***h and moan about how health care is too expensive need to stop buying other s**t and realize what is important

cliffs: 16% of americans are uncovered
1 trillion in cost over 10 years
i will be double covered for the next 4 years but only covered by my current pollicy
the current cobra the most expensive style of insurance is on average 325$ a month
i currently pay 175$ for great coverage at the age of 26,
the law will make me pay at least 175$ a month
i will be paying 1/4 of my income to pay for health care but only get 1/2 the coverage that i am paying for
i can keep going if you like

ron you quoted my saying 43 million is the point, there are also a reported 15-20 million illegals living in the us currently, they are a large number of the people who are uncovered. the fact of the matter is of the 16% of the uninsured CAN and most likely opt not to pay for the insurance for one reason or another, hell they may just not want it. so the number of people that are currently uncovered due to lack of money is even lower than 16%!

The Bill is expected to reduce the deficit over time, whereas the previous system would not.

If you do some reading, paying 25% of your income would be disallowed. My understanding is that there is a 8% cap.

and also, we have to pay into the system for 4 years, and this 4 years are the time frame in which im paying 25% of my total income. after which i would be back to 8% coverage but right now the law does not state that.

You're also very misinformed!

Sure they can, the vast majority of young people can afford a plan that covers catastrophic care. You and others in here blow loads of money on your cars, games, phones, cloths etc. rather than getting health care (that's your choice)!

You'll be paying 25% of your income to keep your current plan. Or you can switch to a plan backed by the Bill that maximizes at 8% of your income. The Bill allows you to make the choice. It won't force you to give up your current insurance plan, if that's what you really want. Seriously, you need to do more reading before you write the article.

And by the way, the wealthy (earn >250K/year) will shoulder a large part of the cost of the Bill. You will actually pay very little more in taxes, unless you make more than $250K/year.
