Why not wait till you get older and more experienced? I'm not saying that your a bad driver, but your 16 and pretty new to driving. Do you really think giving a 16 year old a 300hp Si is a good idea? Your gonna do dumb s**t with your friends screwing around (don't say that your won't and your repsonsible blah blah blah, your gonna. Just add the opposite sex to the equation and your already doing something stupid). Thats alot of car for a young driver IMO. Be glad that you got an Si in the first place, and think about what your gonna do. Oh and I'm 18, so I've been in your position not too long ago.

yeah i kinda know alot about turbos for a 16 year old. But i cant wait to booost. i dont want to make it a crappy kit either. i was thinking about making my own kit with the peekboost ramhorn mani. and use a garrett gt3076r turbo and then buying a used ebay intercooler?

Just take everyone's advice here and don't do it until later. Patience is a blessing, I want a new RSX Type S, but I'm gonna have to work for it. hopefully next year I'll have it. Save your money and plan it out. And when a piston goes flying up out your hood, don't expect pity from us.

You said 9psi wont make 300. I thought it was funny that the 16 year old kid proved you wrong.

As for his car, why wont he make that power with the kit? Do you see something wrong with it? As long as the tune is on point and he should be aright. If he makes 300 @ 9psi, that doesn't mean he always has to stay @ 9 psi. Once he makes 300whp its a 300 hp car. He doesnt have to run 300 daily. He can drop it down to 6-7 and if he wants to race or w.e just raise it back up.

I'd say learn to drive your car, then piece together a quality kit and shoot for 250whp and get a GOOOD tune.

A b16 can make 300 stock. You dont have to have balls of steel, just comon sense and a good tuner.
