So I've been having this problem... I have a custom built computer my friend put together for me. I trust him. He knows a lot about computers and has been building them for a long time. He uses custom computers too.
Here are the basic specs: amd 7850 dual core, radeon 4850 gfx card, 4gb memory, gigabyte MA78LM-S2 mobo (click for link), WD 32mb cache hdd, windows xp. In my catalyst control center, I have my vertical refresh turned off, and all the 3d settings turned to "performance" instead of "quality".
Now when I play WoW, I can barely break 100-120 fps and that's when I'm in the middle of nowhere and nothing is around except trees and s**t. And EVERY SINGLE video setting except view distance (half way) is turned off. When I enter cities or raid, my s**t drops down anywhere between 5 and 40-50. I simply don't understand why my computer can't handle this game. I mean, I have a pretty good system. This game is the only one I play that takes the most graphics.
Anyone have input?
